Default Why is reaper making this noise when recording?

To be clear im using a presonus audio box plugging my guitar into it and am running lepoulin cab and amp simulator with impulse responses. This happens frequently and even more so when I try to dupe a track to record a lead. Makes it impossible to record.

When does the noise appear ? when listening to your dry or wet guitar input, or both ?

Also note that the guitar mics are sensitive to electro magnetic fields, so maybe it's coming from your guitar. Sometimes by changing place in the room, or whanging where the mics are pointing to, some of the "perturbations" disappear.

And when recording a distorted guitar, it's better to have a gate, to remove the noise coming from the guitar mics. Every distorted guitar have a buzz noise if not gated.
