Default Promo Vid

From the release I posted about over the winter that now comprises my sig. I'm not a big facebook fan but it's where mgmt. posted it due to an upcoming show next week. If I can get a YT version uploaded I'll switch it out.

I totally forget they were even filming footage during tracking and rehearsal LOL so I wake up today and I'm WTF... where did they get video of me/us.

It's kind of surreal to me because I was focused on other things at the time, it's as if I just woke up from a coma.

Well done! Nice to finally see and hear something from you. Nice, because I cannot view your youtube channel. Maybe it's not allowed in The Netherlands to watch your video's?

Thanks Paul!

I don't have that much music on my YT channel, it's more geeky stuff but there is some music there. That's odd though as I know of no reason why it would be blocked there.
On a side note, the YT channel below in my sig has the full album, is that the one you can't view? or both it and my karbomusic channel?

Hey, great, vid man! Like the B&W. I'll have to listen again later. Can't make noise now, kids asleep...

Like Paul, I get "This video is not available" on the YT channel in your sig. Strange. It's a geo block.

Now, where's the geeky stuff?

Ha! Most of the stomp box, IoT and other stuff you guys see me embed here when discussing stuff.... my personal YT channel is where it goes.

Hmm... Weird on the Geo Block, that channel was auto created by CDBaby so I will email them and ask them WTF is up. Based on what they say, I may just upload them to my channel.

I have the same message as cyrano: video unavailable. Since he gets it in Belgium and I in Holland it must something of a geo block thing.
But the good news is: the link you provide separately does work, although there is now quite a lot video's to watch....

Most of those aren't anything really worth watch tbh, it's sort of my dumping ground and probably some vids going back to the 1980s. I contacted CDBaby about the block, waiting to hear back but I'm just going to post them on my channel possibly - watch me get blocked for copying myself LOL.

Well, if it's you doing the guitar solo, and I guess it is you, then you've done a pretty good job. Personally I think David Gilmour is the best guitar player ever (with respect to what he plays, how he plays and his sound) and as said you do a very good job in every aspect!

BTW: Keyboard players are lucky to have a sustain pedal so they can drink something in the middle of song while keeping the same chord sustained while the gitarist has to use both his hands....

Yep, that's me, warts and all - I'm ~26 in that vid. Holy crap, I'm getting old, that was 1989. I wasn't that happy that night, partly because I thrust myself into live gigs before I really had any business being there, trial by fire I guess. And yes, David Gilmour is the man!

Yea, no doubt! I never drank much when playing but the other guys, well. A side note is that keyboard player passed away in 95 and the bass player in that vid is the same one in the first post. We've played together off and on for decades and are in two bands together now (this one and a separate cover band).

We all have some history together if you search for a band called "Animal Bag" on the net, the guy singing in the vid in the first post is the bass player in Animal Bag. There should at least be an old MTV Headbangers Ball interview or similar out there on YT. When they returned from LA, we all lived in the same band house together.

In reality M4 (current band) was a different version of Animal Bag - but the guitarist (rich) passed away in 2010, I joined and took his place in 2014 after they went through maybe 7 replacements, I suppose I fit in well from being part of the historical family. Actually I replaced the guy on the right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wPyknzHTok - except we aren't that band any longer, we've changed into something entirely different by now.

Well, that means you're just 55 or so. Kinda youngster compared to me...
You've started young in music making. I was already 28 when I bought my first keyboard and couldn't play one note. Actually still don't know btw...

When you play together with about the same people for that long, you must have chemistry with each other. It's sad that people pass away still being too young. It happens, I know, but it's sad. So enjoy the play time you have and do as much as you can!
I still wonder where you get the time to answer so many questions here as well!

I didn't start until I was right about 18 but I do understand that it gets a little harder the longer we wait. I tend to play with people who started younger than I did which keeps a good bit of pressure on me because I have to work harder than they do.

I understand my friend, I value every day. Most of my daily duties are near a computer (except for band rehearsal or gigs) so it's not so hard to just have a browser tab with the forum open and I just check it as I move from task to task.

It's good to start early, because when you're young you learn new things easier. I wished I'd begun earlier but then it's no use crying over spilt milk. Like a great philosopher once said: it is what it is. Ain't that right?

For this forum it's very good you have time to spare. You gathered a lot of Reaper knowledge, besides being a good musician!

Cool vid, Karbo.

I especially liked the way the guitar intensified the mix during the last section. What a tone.

And it went well. Small club, good crowd, ran my rig in stereo for the first time in years, I'll probably keep doing so, that was nice.

Great video and sounds very very nice, although I'd like to hear more oomph on the riffage.
