Nathan.
you can get it formatted by going to the below and pasting it in the box there and generating the change log, copying and pasting it back here.
No worries if not, but that's how it's done if you want to give it a go

I know how it’s done, but not near my laptop or iPad and brief time window. On the go, tiny screen, grubby, fingers, tired eyes. I get grief for posting it without formatting, so just the “heads up”...

So no way of seeing sample peak and true peak simultaneously?
Anyway, great work on everything so far!

Another push for LUFS-M and LUFS-S as normalize options on render. Some of us classical/jazz folk use max momentary or max short-term to set final album levels.

Just a heads up that at some point recently (within a week I think) it seems that "resetting all midi devices" no longer picks up any midi devices you had turned on but after reaper had already started.
Usually, I can use this action to get my keyboard working if I hadn't turned it on before hand but not it doesn't do that. Not sure why

hmm. Before I write a bug report in the usual place, this seems to also be new behaviour.
Anyone else finding that no waves plugins will load?
my vst3 versions all say "the following effect could not be loaded" even though waves central seems to say they are all licensed etc.
Anyone else got this? It could be a windows update I guess. just checking what others have?
Has reaper put them on an ignore list somehow?
EDIT: I'm beginning to think this is just a waves issue so I'll do some more digging sorry

What does the rescan box show in reaper? If IT doesn`t show the waves stuff not being scanned, do a full clear/rescan to be sure it`s a waves issue.
I expect you`re wondering how I know all this...

v6.29+dev0618 - June 18 2021
All these new metering options on the master mixer is really great, – definitely going to set Reaper ahead of many others, and not even speaking of the normalization features! – Can't wait to see what scripts and visualized representation of loudness can come out of this.
Some suggestions for UX,
VU Settings window > Mixer top number > Peak (option): for clarity perhaps add: stereo max.
And, I believe more helpful tooltips on the master meter would improve the experience, now ‘tip’ is simply "Meter" all over the place. For instance when hovering L-I, it would be helpful/educational if the tooltip could show Loudness - Integrated (LUFS), and so forth.
I'm well aware the meter is a single UI element, but thinking out loud, perhaps it could be done with sort of a flexible grid(??).
As suggested by others, I would also like to have more types of average dynamics. PSR/ PLR and perhaps RMS Crest factor. If it's no-go on the master, then hopefully it can be added to the jsfx Loudness Meter so also new Reaper users have it available with the default installation.

Thanks and sorry you've had to go through this too at some point lol!
I've tried a full uninstall then reinstall of waves via waves central and a few re-scans in reaper.
The plugs have now just started showing as a massive string of alpha-numericals
I'll try a few other things. Maybe I need to clear a reaper vst plugin list too. Reading up on it.

Agreed! Lufs-S and Lufs-M as target for normalise would be excellent!

When you set it like this the number in TCP master is LUFS-I (meter is LUFS-M) afaik.

When Oversampled peaks are chosen in the Master VU settings, also the render-meters show oversampled peaks. Is this really necessary?
It just takes more time to do the render and we already have an option in Preferences > Rendering anyway, if we want to see true peaks on render.
In my opinion it is a bit redundant and it would be better to not hard-wire Master VU meters and render meters, giving the user the choice to either only use true peaks while working and having the render as fast as possible, or have the readout also on render, paying the price of longer render times.

solved the waves issue...potentially something for the devs to read maybe :)
Just to say. I finally solved the waves issue.
I managed to get reaper to show the plugins again but the names were messed up alphanumerical "strings".
I found on the internet that you use to be able to fix this by unchecking the box next to clear cache and rescan called "do not scan VST names/types(deprecated)" but that doesn't seem to be there anymore so I eventually deleted my "reaper-vstplugins64" file and rescanned and then it seems to work now
I have a distant memory of that being removed when all the vst scanning work went on a few months back but maybe it's worth having it there again so Waves don't break or finding something to work around this?

W/E. You know how, but somehow are never able to do it the way everyone else does. Seems borderline trollish. But you do you.
I've expressed my displeasure and will promptly start the process of never thinking about this again.
Peace.
