Default TouchOSC and X-Y pad

Hello Reaps,
I have just got TouchOSC running on my iPhone. All good. Can use the touchreaper from subz (thanks Subz, great work!) or logictouch layouts and they work just fine.
I want to be able to use the XY pad from say the 'simple' layout to control an XY pad in Z3ta+.

I dont see any special support for XY in the reaper.touchosc file - I can open the fx and learn 1 axis of the xy pad but not both - does anyone have any ideas how to do this please?

Many thanks,
keys.

Perhaps no XY pad support in Reaper OSC then?

BTW, I cant get the multiple fxparam_value patterns to work either as a workaround. Pity.

I'm also struggling with this using touchosc on my iPad, trying to control the FM8's morphpad. I'm new to OSC, but have been searching for hours now....

For clarification, I have also installed TouchOSC Bridge, have it enabled on the iPad.

In the OSC editor, there are midi values which you can set for each axis of the x/y pad independently (which I set as CC23 and CC24 respectively), but the 'learn' command in reaper always seems to receive only the OSC message (and you can't disable this in the editor). Besides splitting the double floating point integer OSC value into separate components and reassigning them (which I don't think has been implemented yet, but I may have missed it), I was thinking a way around the problem would be if there was some kind of function which would allow me override certain osc outputs with the midi data specified (or to ignore certain OSC messages), but I can't find such a thing. I thought disabling 'allow binding messages to REAPER actions and FX learn' in the Control Surfaces Preferences may work, allowing only the touchOSC Bridge midi data to get through, but the 'MIDI/OSC Learn' doesn't seem to see any midi data at all, despite the TouchBridge set to enabled+control.

If there is something I need to include within the .reaperOSC file, I'm unsure what it is. Or maybe I'm overlooking something silly. I'm stumped.

I know this is an old thread but is there any development on this?

Anyone getting TouchOSC to work with Reaper? Specifically the XY pad. Everything else works fine.

You'd need to MIDI map it, I think. Go onto the MIDI tab in the editor, enable X and Y as Control Change messages. Pick a channel and control number, then train.

I tried that before posting. Thus, my post.

Default to map midi x y

For MIDI mapping of the x and the y I think you would want to use ReaControlMIDI and in the control section change, select what you want from the pull down.

But how does one do the same using OSC? Now that is a mystery.

I suppose I could build a template that uses both OSC and MIDI over wifi.

Good idea, if you do build a template please maybe share.

How do you map X and Y in ReaControlMIDI though I don't see how?
