I've been running Reaper for 18 months mostly trouble free. Today I discovered a possible bug. Using a pitch envelope on an item results in lost sync in the rendered file - regardless if it is "render as new take", "glue" or "project render". I actually discovered it in a full mix where an arpeggio part was out of time in the rendered mix, but it played perfectly in the Reaper session.
