Default can reaper try to keep tracks items visible / editable in midi editor? [done]

I use 1 monitor and i get in midi editor by pressing Enter (like in cubase). I and i use it lot of times, constantly.
If you noticed in the gif the settings i am clicking don't persist between multiple midi editions (open/close), and so it is very tedious to take advantage of editing multiple items by project.
I don't have a second monitor to keep editor open. (midi editor and fx browser, and routing panel, etc tend to be visible 1 at a time)

So since latest reaper changes take similar things in account i would like to ask if you could consider keeping this settings too. Otherwise midi editor and all capabilities are complex without any real advantage over a simple midi editor.

if that is not possible, any chance to at least make the visibility persisting for this example? the reference track persist visibility or a specific track gets always visible to work as a reference.

edit: i have been thinking! and concluded what i am missing is that when using ENTER to open midi editor would be useful if we had something like this action and option instead:
Item: Open in built-in MIDI editor or turn visible if exists
Midi editor option: escape in midi editor turns editor invisible (instead of closing)

So that our changes of track visibility and editability dont get lost when using ENTER, since what we really want is to temporarily have focus on the rest of project and get back soon to the editor.
Justin, schwa, and all : don't you agree?

Maybe you can try this new feature and give feedback on it?

+ MIDI editor: allow screensets to save/load editability of individual media items

Personally, I think it can probably be better, but is a good way to introduce it to the customers without to much commitment. I think it should have per project management tab or something which is separate from fx window recall. (A per project means of managing only fx window sets would be great too)

I think there might be a bug or two as well, but I haven't gotten too far with it myself.

You need to have the second checkbox enabled when you save the (global "Windows") screensets.

The original OP is still valid, as an option?

Is "Open all MIDI in the project" selected in the menu underneath that?

nope! i have "open all selected midi items"

and is what i ask at OP: open selected midi items, and keep the visibility and editibility meanwhile setted for that midi item.

@ OP:

Try these settings to see if that results in what you want:

I reckon you should probably use "selection linked to visibility/editability" options.

thank you both! i am aware of the other options and the potential of each.
I am suggesting devs consider 1 more option .

example: We edit a bass midi and turn visible the drums. Close editor. Next time i edit bass, drums stay visible and then, if then i turn invisible the drums, next time i edit bass, drums are invisible.

Valid points you're making. I'm just going to mention this because I have seen a couple people express a pleasant surprise when they learn it. Maybe you already know... You can double click the top bar of the editor window to make it maximized and double click it when maximized to send it to its previous, more out of the way, position.

ahh thank you! double clicking here does not make anything (mac thing?)
I can minimize and maximize tho, but looses the flow (mouse scrolling and clicking and finding).
