Devil's Bicycle 2019 (hard rock)

I wrote this almost 20 years ago on guitar. I was in Germany at the time, and played with a drummer named Thilo. He was a really great, unpretentious and funny guy who died way too young riding a motorcycle on the autobahn. He'd just been married to a lovely lady too...very tragic.

I had to play the drum parts myself and tried to keep the spirit of his drumming in this version. I hope he would be pleased.

It's not perfect but it seems to be about the best I can do right now and I did put myself on a deadline. I might revisit this one day if I can find the right vocalist or significantly improve on drums. I even have lyrics, but my "singing" doesn't improve the song at all (the opposite actually).

Awesome live feel, damn, drums really are a highlight. Killer live drum track elevates already a good jam to the next level. Spot on combination of dirty and pretty.

Agree with others... great energy!! Well done! I also agree... would be elevated with some vocals..

I lost a drummer friend years ago too. Tragic death. Really leaves a mark. What is it with drummers and untimely deaths???

Every time I track vocals, within an hour or two a handful of female boar will find their way into my yard and they seem very excited.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. Anyone still feeling like adding vox to this can PM me for a link. Idk what I'll end up doing with this one, but if you have ideas and wanna la em down, just lemme know. Like I said, I do have some lyrics.

If they come out great, maybe I'll mix em in but who knows? I'm unreliable when it comes to finishing unpaid music projects. Thanks again for your interest!

I'll echo the sentiments.. as someone who is a total metal snob, I found this tune pretty cool. Definitely needs someone screaming over top though

haha, well, that's the thing... there's a lot of possibilities. Could be a screamer.. could be some sort of QOTSA style vocalist.. could be anything in between. Will be interesting to hear if you ever get some vocals added.
