omg thank you soo much FTC! It seems to work in 100% scaling, but it's not working in 200% 🤔

Oh, I didn't add the changes to 150% and 200% layout...

Here's the full thing again:

Default v1.36: Small update (+Item backgrounds + envelope button fix)

Just pushed a small update! ✨

---
v1.36
• Added alternative images "Item Backgrounds"
• Added info about "Item backgrounds" in the PDF.
• Fixed big gap between buttons in track env panel
---

You can find these alternative images in the "03_Extras" folder. (I also updated the PDF guide with these new additions)

I've been trying out some different item backgrounds. Im a big fan of the rounded corners! I was struggling to tell where items start and end, especially when doing a lot of tiny chops, so this helps a ton. I also much prefer white peaks for selected items

Please re-download the theme to find these. (You can use the same Payhip link in your email!)

Thank you a lot FTC for helping me fix the envelope button spacing!

Also, this weekend I will be making the light theme version of this theme, wohoo!

Looks great! May I annoyingly request the dark background version of the rounded corner items?

Thank you Alejandro, nice update!

Are you working on a V7 version? (just curious)

Hopefully this is a simple question to answer: I just downloaded the new update and realized I've never updated a theme before after tweaking it. If I've made adjustments using the Theme development/tweaker and saved the result, do I need to manually duplicate those tweaks in the new theme? If so, is there an easy way to see what I've changed? How do the rest of you handle this? Thanks in advance.

And I may have already posted something here, but I LOVE this theme. It's beautiful and very functional. Huge thanks to you, Alejandro, along with everyone else who contributed. This should absolutely be in the default Reaper install!!

Aw thank you so sooooo much! ❤️

Great question! If you made some changes with the theme tweaker, I've put together some instructions on how to keep those changes when updating → here

To change the colors via the Theme Tweak Window, follow the steps in here → https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=172341

Or you can edit the theme meter images to match the colors you want.

Or if another theme has meters that you like you can use those to replace.

P.S: I made a video on opening the theme and swapping images in case it helps https://youtu.be/F6VtvHZKQRg?t=400
I finally had the time to check this out. Unfortunately, it is not viable for me. I would have to rename your meter image files or overwrite them, which makes it very impractical for future updates. Maybe with the v7 theme adjuster we will be able to change meter colors more easily. Patience...

This is just an amazing theme! This changes my usage experience for the better. Now I can brag about the beautiful Reaper in front of users other DAW 😅But it seemed to me that there was too much blue, so I changed the color for the mixer

Pardon my ignorance, but I've been using your theme on Reaper v7 for maybe half a year. And I've used the theme adjuster on it. So what am I not understanding here? Is the theme working for me by magic means, or is it missing functionality a V7 theme would have?

In any case, I really like it!

ReaperTips Theme == REAPER v6 Theme Mod --> Works with v6 Theme Adjuster

REAPER v7 Theme --> Works with v7 theme adjuster which is not out yet

Hey Alejandro,

After trying the Rea Tools theme, I find that it would be nice to be able to display the FXS and SENDS as in Protools (a column for each). For the moment on your theme, it is only possible to display a mixture of the two (they do not have their respective column). But maybe the theme must be in V7 for that? I made a small montage under Photoshop that I put as an attachment.

I made a small montage under Photoshop that I put as an attachment.

I'd love that too!

Also, thanks for the darkened rounded corners image!

I think the separate columns for displaying separate FX and Sends lists is a Version 7 Theme Adjuster feature.

Hi Alejandro! Can I join the party?
I really like this theme and it's already become my new standard.

Like other users, I was keen on having a static horizontal mute/solo layout, so I experimented a little bit to get rid of that nasty color bleed you observed.
My solution - aside from the necessary mod to the rtconfig.txt - was to enlarge the image meter_bg_tcp.png.
It is such a silly solution that I am still afraid it could break something in the layout... oh well, we'll see, I suppose

I also moved the phase button to the right, because I think it looks better, by simply adding 20 to the 'left' coordinate (3 --> 23):
Code:
;set tcp.phase h<phaseHide_h{0} [0] + * scale [3 -24 16 20] [tcp.mute meter_sec{3}]
set tcp.phase h<phaseHide_h{0} [0] + * scale [23 -24 16 20] [tcp.mute meter_sec{3}]

This is the final result:

Let me know if it works for you too.
Ciao!

I agree this is amazing! The upcoming V7 version of this theme should include this

OMG! Excellent!! Also the timing is so crazy. I was just trying out this mod yesterday because I decided to give it another try to see how I could get rid of the color bleed. This solves so many alignment issues! Thank you so much. Will test it out and let you know how it goes

UPDATE: I just tried and it works! but one downside is that if you use track icons, they will partially get covered by this u_u

Oh... I was not expecting that.
On my devices - a Windows and a Mac - your theme with track icons seems comparable to the default 6.0 theme:

Are you gonna release a dark theme with option of the grey TCP with the track color just on the the edge? Or are you waiting for the the v7 theme adjuster?

Aw I must be doing something wrong D:

I will try again! Altho I don't think I would ship the theme with this. I'll maybe make a tutorial on how to do it for people that want to mod it!

Yes!! I just figured out how to do it and I definitely want to include it as a track layout!

Default ☀️ I'm working a light theme variation!

hello hello!

I've been working on a light theme version inspired by my some of my favorite themes ever: REAPER 5, Paulie and Peace theme.

It's coming together like this:

(Click for hi-res)

It's gonna have these track layouts:

I am going through all of the theme images and adjusting it to fit better with the new colors! Toned down all the neon/saturated stuff so it looks more muted, made buttons brighter, toolbars are also brighter and less saturated, and so on.

I am also experimenting with a bit of a flatter look which I've been into it lately.

I will also be including those extra track layouts to the dark theme version 👍

If you have suggestions, feedback, let me know!

This is beyond cool.
I don't know what v7 brings to the table in terms of added functionalities, but I would love to keep this overall stunning visual effect, so elegant, so coherent.

Keep it up Alejandro!
