Default Cheap isolation headphones?

I need some headphone sets, can't be earbuds, that have decent enough isolation, but cheap enough where I don't die if kids use them and wreck them. I'd love it if they were good enough so click tracks won't leak into drum mics to some degree

Without a shadow of doubt Sennheiser HD 201 for around 20 bucks.

I also have the HD 650's (15 times the price) which I use for fine mixing; but they're open back. The 201's I use for everything else and they are totally brilliant.

I do vocals with them with a Rode NT1a - no hint of feedback or bleed.

Don't know how far your "cheap" extends, but the Sony MDR7506 have been a studio standard for years. $100 retail. You can find discounts. GuitarCenter 15% off works, so $85.

HD 215s. I got lucky and found a pair unused on ebay for very little. I wore my originals out (physically loose but still work fine). I may not have the best ears in the world but hard to detect a difference between these and my Alesis MI active monitors.

There was a time when I was finding AKG K44s for about $35 a pair. I bought half a dozen or so, as they have good bass response and are absolutely indestructible.

My son is the Gold Standard when it comes to electronics durability (if he can't break it it can't be broken) and I still have all six pairs.

The long cord is nice, too.

I love mine! I've had this one set for 16 years and they still work and no signs of wear. Of course, I take REALLY good care of them.

K141 and K240DF both bought in the USA in the early eighties & still going strong. Even the original pads!

But mostly I use my HD650s these days. Those $20 ones sound like a serious deal! I may have more than 2 other people recording here soon so might see if I can pick up a couple of pairs.

We ended up getting several 206's. Isolation is pretty good! The cable feels pretty chintzy, but one of the things the kids learn here is testing and soldering, so its a bonus

You can't find made in Japan anymore. Aviable on market is made in Taiwan. Sounds not so good as Japan made. But for not critical listening it is OK. I have both.

Good cheapo with good bass response is AKG K52

No personal experience with these, but some are reporting it to be a have flat frequency response good for monitoring.

I got a handful of Status Audio CB-1's last year for $55 apiece and couldn't be happier with them. The site lists them as $80 but I don't think they didn't have a discount any week while I was looking. Currently 30% off.
