Default Q: How do I add color to a toolbar text-button?

I've searched the manual, and the Actions list, but I didn't find an answer, so...

Does anyone know how to add a color to a floating toolbar text-button?

I've grouped my buttons with a separator, but a color background would be nice to further group related buttons.

Thanks for your help!

I am not sure you can do that precisely, I am sure someone will reply if it is possible.

In the meantime, have a look here, post three may help.

I was able to completely re-do two toolbars of 6 icons each in a very short space of time.
Good luck

You can't use the double-sized icons with different pngs by default, you have to go to Color Themes folder in C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\Data\toolbar_ icons and then look for the toolbar blank pngs, and create your own colorful icons from colored toolbar blank templates that can be found in most themes, there's also 2500 icons uploaded in the stash

But to change toolbar text colors, use the theme development tool, show theme and configuration window, and the text color can be changed in those options.
