1- load a suitably long sample into RS5k
2- set start and end point so the sample contains less than 2000 ms of sound
3- adjust attack via mouse.
NOTE: attack knob moves the attack param from position 0ms to (sample length ms).
DESIRED BEHAVIOR
4- assign attack to MIDI CC.
5- adjust attack via MIDI CC.
ISSUE: attack moves from 0-2000ms regardless of start/end. this behavior is different from the desired behavior that occurs when using the mouse and makes adjusting the attack (and other parameters) too coarse to be useful in performance.
TLDR: please make RS5k params obey the selection time when being controlled by CC.
NOTE this is also an issue with Decay and a couple of other parameters.
NOTE also that for synthesis/sound design purposes, when LOOP ON is enabled, it may be the case that the user wants a longer attack than sample length to be possible. this should be available by "attack length" modification checkbox, or the ability to enter a high and low limit to the knob itself ie "5ms min" and "5000 ms max" ... or something similar ALA "note off release override"
another related issue when mousing:
4b- adjust the sample to contain MORE than 2000 ms of sound
5b- adjust attack via mouse. NOTE: attack knob "tops out" at 2000 ms.
this is UNDESIRED behavior, parameter should continue to expand to selection end.
