Default Using MIDI Keyboard Controller Mod Wheel to Send CC11 to VSTi?

I have a VSTi which responds to CC11, and I'm trying to control that parameter with the mod wheel on my Alesis Q49 MIDI keyboard controller.

First I tried the Q49 documentation to see how to reassign the mod wheel to CC11, but that documentation is like a puzzle which I could not solve.

Then I tried to ask on Alesis forum, but they have a weird registration system.

So before I go further down the Alesis road, is there a way to get Reaper to intercept CC1 messages from the Q49 mod wheel and convert them to CC11 before recording and before forwarding the messages to the VSTi? Thanks.

Not Reaper, but insertpizhere's MIDI CC16Router or MIDI Converter 3, as an Input FX, should do it. (Haven't tried it myself for that, though.)

His MIDI Pack is well worth a donation.
