Default [5.70] Cmd + Alt + Drag to Media Explorer Function Impaired on OSX

Hello!

Searched a few threads and gathered that this function either used to or usually works differently, so figured I would bug report it.

Software:
OS: Mac OSX 10.12.6
Reaper 5.70 64-bit

- Create an audio item, hereafter referred to as "Incredible Audio"
- Open Media Explorer
- Click on "Desktop" on the Left panel of the Media Explorer
- Hold CMD + ALT + Left Mouse Click on "Incredible Audio"
- While holding down the Left Mouse Button, drag the new file icon to the Media Explorer
- Release mouse over the right panel of the media explorer, or hovering over "Desktop" in the left panel.
- Reaper does not create a file on the desktop, but creates a file in the <Project Directory> path.

Looks like the same behavior is also observable on my PC when CTRL + ALT dragging:

Reaper 5.70 x64

Anyone else able to duplicate this? I did a little digging - it looks like this feature used to work properly and then broke somewhere during v4. I guess I'm one of the lucky few that use the Media Explorer a lot!

To be clear, I can still drop the file to the Desktop or Finder, but NOT to folders in the internal Media Explorer. When I do that it just goes straight to the Project Media folder, regardless of where I try to put it.

In Media Explorer, enable Options -> Use Windows Explorer for browsing. Ctrl+Alt+drag should then work.

EDIT: It only seems to work if dragging into folders, not to REAPER's own databases or shortcuts.

Thanks Julian! That option doesn’t seem to be there on my main Mac computer. I’ll test it on Windows though.

Confirmed this, using Windows Explorer for browsing allows you to drop it directly into the current folder.

Mac doesn't have an equivalent option so I still couldn't get CMD ALT drag to work for anything but the Project Media folder.
