Default ReaFIR sidechain FFT, spectrum capture and other ideas

First off I wanted to say that ReaFIR is quickly becoming one of my favorite and most used plugins.

One thing I think would be great is if there could be a sidechain FFT in a different color.

This would help a great deal in masking problems, and when trying to spectrally balance instruments that share a similar frequency range.

Trying the get that perfect bass/kick balance?
While you're using EQ/Comp on the kick for example you could have the bass FFT in red in the background making it easy to see where they overlap and what can be cut etc. I can think of a ton of uses for this.

Other ways to make ReaFIR even more smokin'
-spectrum capture, overlay and matching.
-show musical note in tooltip (same as ReaEQ)
-Marquee selection of points
-Multiple modes in series per instance
-'Gains' monitoring mode that shows the net +/- gain per frequency.
-Stereo width envelope/mode (Soniformer style)
-Stereo pan envelope/mode (Soniformer style)
-Slower moving average

I love this plugin!

Bump.

I still love ReaFIR and think a lot of these ideas are still valid.

BTW, does ReaFIR have a detailed manual? Its such an amazing tool, but think a lot of its power gets overlooked.

Things like 'less artifacts' aren't exactly made clear. And do many people really need 0.x compatibility? Maybe that should be renamed if its still useful and replaced or eliminated if it isn't (people needing 0.x compatibility can use an older version of the plug).

As ReaEQ doesn't have spectrum (yet) I like to use ReaFIR as my standard track EQ but its a little CPU intensive for that purpose (compared to ReaEQ anyway), a 'quality' setting with playback and render modes (oversampling etc.) would be a great way to add flexibility without sacrificing quality, and perhaps even enhancing it.

This is the closest thing to a manual I have found

External sidechain input for Reafir is my #1 wish.
