Default reaper 5.5 hanging on exit window 10 creator's edition

This happens about once a day since the upgrade from 5.4.

I have to terminate in task manager but after I do, a headless copy of reaper using no CPU will still remain in taskmanager.

Trying to kill it using taskkill /im reaper.exe /f is also unsuccessful.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>taskkill /im reaper.exe /f

Are you using any USB MIDI devices? If so, try disconnecting them once REAPER is hung in the background to see if that helps REAPER quit.

Try re-installing 5.40 and use it for a few days, to see if it does it too.
