I will certainly remove my v1 script but I'd like to know if Gianfini is ok if I removed the older version of v2.

Hi amagalma, I totally agree with you to leave just one.

The most complete and up to date script is "amagalma_gianfini_Track-Item Name Manipulation - UNDO" as you say. So this should be the one surviving

Any name would be ok for me, you choose

The v2 scripts were removed from ReaPack and are now replaced by:
amagalma_gianfini_ReaNamer (track-item-region renaming utility)

changelog:
Replaces "amagalma_gianfini_Track-Item Name Manipulation - UNDO"
- add: Region name support
- fix: crash when clicking on empty list
- fix: Down button could be pressed past last list item
- fix: changes in number of list items are correctly shown (no more 'nil' names)
- change: moved help text to the bottom
- change: improved how list items show

Hi, I selected few items. Launched Reaname and got

...anfini_ReaNamer (track-item-region renaming utility).lua:524: attempt to call a nil value (field 'BR_GetMediaItemTakeGUID')

Same occours when selecting ITEM from the button

Region renname works fine!

DARN you were right... I did restore a wrong version. Now all is working except when in REGION mode when clicking on an empty line I get 1072: attempt to index a nil value (field '?')

For item/tracks no nil value error

Hope is not another issue with my PC (I'll have to wipe it out before or after)

Thanks for this script, @amagalma. I've been using it a few months already - since a few versions back. It's very useful for us serial track duplicators

Glad I checked this thread, I was looking to reinstall this and didn't see the original name in ReaPack.
