The very best way is to learn to play the .wav part on a midi instrument, and record the midi coming out.

Seemingly Melodyne can do this rather nicely.
I also have used "Anthem Score"

How to "install" "NeuralNote"?
I downloaded "NeuralNote", but am uncertain where to put the folder.
I put the unzipped folder in Reapers "Effects" folder, but that didn't seem to work.
Didn't seem to go in the "Scripts" folder, either.
I feel like I -should- know how to do this... Ugh
Anyone care to provide a little direction?
Peace,
Keith

Assuming you're on Windows and downloaded the correct windows vst3....Unzip the file and put everything in to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

Sorry but this didn't work.
I downloaded the "zip" file, after pressing the green "<CODE>" button.
I placed the unzipped folder in the VST3 folder, but it didn't show up when I re-started Reaper.
It didn't show up in the search results, either.
I'm using Windows10, for what it's worth.
Suggestions??

You need to scroll further down that page where it says install neuralnote and follow that link to the correct downloads.

Melodyne Assistant edition, not the full version, does a surprisingly good job of audio to midi. Better than any free or nearly free option I've tried. Worth it, for me, for the difference in results, long with everything else one can do with it.

Hmm... $250 (reg $299) is more than I'd care to spend at the moment.
I wonder if it goes on sale for less than that.
