Default Freezing a folder track - mute the child tracks too

When freezing a folder track, the child tracks have their routing changed to disable Parent send (which makes sense), but nothing else is changed.

It'd be great if they could also (or instead) be muted. This way, any FX present on the child tracks will also be bypassed when the "Do not process muted tracks" preference is ticked.

This way, the entire CPU impact of the folder can be removed just by freezing the parent track.

What if the child tracks have sends to tracks outside the folder ? They'd get muted too in this case which wouldn't be intended, no ?

That's the problem with this request and that's why it behaves like this right now.

I always have to set each child track FX to offline state manually and I understand it's annoying but that's just the way it is.

A solution would be to mute child tracks that don't have sends to tracks outside the folder, and disable Parent send instead for the ones that do.

If the concept of freezing is about freeing up CPU resources used by particular tracks, it would make more sense to mute child tracks to free up their resources where possible, and just disable Parent sends on the edge cases.
