Default Why is Reaper doing this?! (SOLVED)

The explanation is in the video. This is super annoying.

Check "tiny fade in on playback start" in Preferences/Audio ...

Render shouldn't be affected by this - only live playback.



@devs: This setting should be disabled as default!

Wow, yea that shouldn't be on by default at all.

That helped, but it still sounds like it's cycling between 2 different kicks

Maybe set the attack in ReaSamplomatic to 0ms too (and Max voices to >1) ...

Funny thing is, happens with battery as well, but only in Reaper, not any other daw (Reason, Fl, Studio One Logic) it's odd

Oh it's definitely there. Not as much of a slap in the face before taking off tiny fade, but the initial kick plays slightly higher.

Maybe I should rest ears and come back to it, but i still hear it (slightly)

can hear the problem in the first video but no difference in the second one.
