Here is a compilation of improvements for RRM:
► Scroll
What I meant was there is indeed a limit at 24 characters, but there is also some problem with resizing the window: even if you have a lot of white space below the grid, if you make the window shorter, it will truncate even further the region names, so there is a desire to be able to "scroll up" to see the full region name back again and get rid off the white space below.
But a proper way to solve that would be more to not have this text truncation behavior at all, especially as long as there is white space below.
(note that even the Region label is truncated)
► Char limit
Basically, having the same limit as region name will be nice, so surprise. It has been discussed a bit on the
Text In Region Render Matrix Is Cut Off thread, but without explicit limit either. The more is better.
► Filters
One text filter for tracks and one for regions would make navigation and selection easier especially on big projects.
Extra filters checkboxes (or contextual menu) like to be to hide child track could also help.

► Colors
Even a small square with the region color next to region name just like in the Regions Manager can help
