Fix "View: Toggle show MIDI editor windows"

"View: Toggle show MIDI editor windows" does not work.

In this screenshot video you can see I open a single MIDI window, close it, and run the action to open it again - and lots of editor windows open!

Please fix.

(And if we haven't asked enough before - please make the editor window management easier - it's so slow to open and close, moves around the screen by itself, and changes settings from the last viewing - it should just instantly be made visible/invisible, like when we toggle the mixer, or push F7 in FL Studio)

"I have same problems with midi editor then I open MIDI items created by copy/paste track with existing MIDI items on them. If open MIDI items created from scratch all OK.
Try this: create 2-3 MIDI items from scratch, select them, execute action "Item: Open items in primary external editor" , then execute "View: Toggle show MIDI editor windows" (it can be on F1) , now all mast working well. BUT for new set of MIDI item you need repeat this sequence, don't close MIDI editor by ESC - otherwise will open previos set of MIDI items"

Thanks, I think I understand what you mean, but it's still broken for me.

Anyway, this is a bug that needs to be fixed regardless of workaround.

Reaper is great except for the horrible window management

There is a lot to add to REAPER regarding midi, but for me the way to toggle back and forth between arranger and MIDI window is at the top of the list for sure - and it supposed to work, so it seems, it's just buggy. Yeah, the window management in overall is messy.

If this worked and there was also an option for track selection to follow the selection in the Track list in the MIDI editor so I can instantly play the right instrument from the MIDI window (using Auto-Arm in my case), I'd have 99% covered (until my needs go higher, that is ;-)).

Otherwise, REAPER went a long way since versions 2/3 when I used it more intensively previously and MIDI editor is much better for sure.
