How to deselect points on a take pitch envelope line
I've watched the video on this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hl9X3CVkdLQ
And he doesn't go into how to deselect the points if you want to remove some after creating them. I'm assuming this is possible.
Also, wasn't able to find anything under take pitch envelope in the manual, either.
Anyone have any information on working with points on a take envelope line?
thx
doug

In general doing either 'Alt + Left Click' or a 'Double-Click' on a single envelope point deletes it.
Selecting multiple envelope points can be done via Right-Click & Dragging a selection area over them: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIBt8AjdwEM.
Info about Mouse Modifiers for Envelope Points & Segments can be found here:
- MM Envelope Point: https://www.reaper.fm/videos.php#Bbylz9XVCh4
- MM Envelope Segment: https://www.reaper.fm/videos.php#Cy10LMIzA2M
And keep in mind to always check out Right-Click options, as well ...

Thanks for the input. The videos were helpful.
I'm still trying to figure out how to drag and select multiple envelope points along an envelope line. I'm assuming this is possible, and in Mouse Modifiers in Preferences have selected Envelope Point and Left Drag, then double clicks on a Modifier, but there's no option for selection.
I've also tried the other Envelope context settings, but coudn't find anything.
Seems like this would be doable, but I'm not seeing anything.
Thanks
Doug

we are talking about item env's right?
there are various actions that work... like unselect all point, etc.
to select multiple points you select one and hold control will selecting another one... then all selected points can be dragged as desired
it's all pretty straight forward so I'm not really getting what problem you are having...
If the point are reachable via a marque drag you can select multiple pts that way...

Thanks, and yes, specifically the take pitch envelope.
What I'm trying to achieve is the last item you mentioned. Do a marque drag across all the points I want to select, and having it select only those.
In Mouse Modifiers, I have Media Item > left drag > shift > Marque select items.
When I shift click on the media item, I'm able to drag the selection box across specific points on the line, but it doesn't produce any selection or deselection.
Any thoughts what I might be doing wrong?

No need to make a mouse modifier for Take Marquee Selection, its already there. Marquee selection in Takes works similar to regular envelope points, but a take envelope needs to be selected. I normally zoom in, click on the take envelope line somewhere, then right mouse down and move mouse, and it marquee selects the points I want.
To select additional points, hold down Shift key while you marquee.
And to deselect all take envelope points you can click the line and marquee over no points.

Thanks.
I'm still not getting the right results, but something thing that might be causing problems is I'm on a Mac and only using the keyboard, no mouse.
I start by selecting the take pitch envelope line, which I can only seem to select by clicking on one of the points. Clicking on the line doesn't seem to do anything.
So with a point, and thus the line, selected, I then have tried right click and drag.
From what I've read, right click is equal to Control-click on the Mac keyboard, so tried that. However, a Control-click and drag just drags the media item.
If I try Command-click and drag, it creates a duplicate of the media item and drags that.
Alternately, I can Shift-click and drag, and that creates a Marque box that I can drag over the various points. It seems to be selecting the points I drag over, but upon release of the marque, nothing is selected or deselected.
Any idea what might be causing this?
thanks
doug
