Default Digital Mixer Q and Reaper

I currently want to replace my outboard analog mixer and my octacapture interface with a digital mixer.

Seems like a Presonus, Behringer, or Midas would do the trick. The Berhinger XR18 seems to be the cheapest/best fit for me.

Any issues with it and reaper or prefs for the other brands?

Thx!!

I'm more than happy with Soundcraft Ui24r. Check specifications out on their website.

*) You have 20 in's/10 out's connected with Your computer via USB B
*) You have 20 channel onboard recorder (to USB A flash drive) to record on location
*) You don't have to own expensive apple device to control it. "Software" is any html5 capable web browser
*) In paranoic situations You can do standalone with any HDMI monitor and mouse (Or HDMI touchscreen)
*) mic input specs IMHO is best in class.

Check out facebook Soundcraft Ui24r user group
Check out many YouTube instruction videos (search Soundcraft Ui24r)
Check out demo software on their webpage https://www.soundcraft.com/en/products/ui24r

Some live (OT?) tricks from my experience with Soundcraft Ui24r:

*) On live event i runned string quartet sends thru USB B connected PC (Reaper, of course) for some good VST reverb (Ambient Reverb)
*) You can easily do parallel compression on channels or groups (this feature can eat up some channels)
*) You can record multitrack on PC over USB B and backup on USB A stick.
*) You can control this box via onboard WiFi or LAN. I controlled my PC (via remote desktop) and Ui24r form "FOH" with little NUC box with touchscreen monitor. While having seperate WiFi AP up the stage for "tablet walking".
*) This device even has ffmpeg based onboard USB player Eats WAV, FLAC, MP3, OGG, M4A easy

Only "drawbacks" (c'mon, this is only 1000$ box) are:

*) built in FX can be more advanced
*) Only 48 kHz, no external sync
