Default New to the forums brought a couple of tracks to share

Hey guys,

I am new to the forums, but I thought I would share a couple of tracks that I recorded using Reaper. One is my take on the Game of Thrones theme song and the other is an original by my band When Darkness Falls. Started off using Ableton Live, but made the switch to reaper a couple of years back and have been more than happy with the program!

Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

If I have to choose between a cover and an original, I always choose the original.

Your original:
first reaction: sounds are OK. I'd say this is radio-level quality sound-wise.

Second reaction: when the vocals kick in, the sound of the lead singer is not on the same level as the rest of the music. He hits the notes OK, but his vocal sound is not right. Change the singer.

I think some vocal doubling and possibly some reverb or delay effect would help the vocalist out (the one that's in question). Other than that, this is not my particular genre, so I can't really understand the other singer. Good overall mix, though.
