Default New modes for Record:MIDI overdub replace and quantize CC

Record:MIDI overdub replace modes
They are great for note data but what about CC's ?

I propose 2 new modes..

Record:MIDI touch-replace
Record:MIDI CC touch-replace doesn't affect note data.
Record:MIDI latch-replace
Record:MIDI CC latch-replace doesn't affect note data.

Also 'Input Quantize incoming CC events' option
If your Currently in Record:MIDI touch-replace mode it is useless for CC events as they build up on top of one another.

This would make working with recording CC events more meaningful and manageable.

Thanks.

Seconded, I've been missing this functionality for a while now... My workaround is to manually delete the CC data before recording over it in a second pass, but it's a hassle.

This would be a very easy thing to implement, it should just function the same way as automation recording in touch mode! Please devs, implement this

IMHO a DAW always should work nondestructively, and hence is not supposed to change anything in the data it receives and records by an built-in functionality.

+1, another reason i almost never record ccs into reaper from midi hardware - i'm just going to have to go back and use the mouse anyway.

and +1 for native input cc quantization. sometimes you know what you want ahead of time and there's no sense recording a goddamn off-grid program change or other programmatic cc

meanwhile, look for impyc by snooks - it'll get you a part of the way there by giving you the ability to delete via overdub
