How come this doesn't have spinning beach balls like my copy of Cubase 10.5 has? Seriously, Reaper runs so smooth compared to Cubase for me. Very thankful!

Really?! Did not know that! It's pretty awesome.
I'm assuming no third party plugins are embeddable into the mixer as of yet?
It would be really cool if they could provide us with some kind of means to code these mixer GUI's for third party plugins, it could even utilise the FX GUI templates they've already created (which look excellent anyway I'd say) but just allow us to map the controls to a third party plugin. Even if it requires some complex coding at our end I'm sure someone here could create some 'maps' for the most popular offerings - Fabfilter, Valhalla, etc, and if they did I'd be happy to pay for them.

Not quite perfect yet. Could still get repeated CCs happening when they are drawn densely without snapping.
Also, this option/action is not found in MIDI editor Options menu.

Well, you don't know how many RC versions there will be.
There was about 30+ pre releases versions of v5

Just dug back into the post discussing this feature when it was first released, Justin mentioned this regarding third party plugin support -

No worries. Looking forward to it.
Very cool to see all these great features from the pre-releases making it into Reaper 6 - Loving the HiDPI support - Reaper is looking CRISP. Thank you!

Finally!
It's about time I can give Cockos more money.
One thing is that even though my license has expired now, because the official version is still 5.x buying a new one now would mean it's valid only until 6.99.
Unless licenses are only for one version going forward (which wouldn't be terrible) it might be a good idea to have existing licenses expire when 6.0 final is released (it could retroactively expire for 6.0rc versions). Either that, or have licenses bought now start as 6.0 licenses.
(Also the license window is saying my license isn't valid for 5.x which I think is supposed to say 6.x)

And so it begins!
I think I need to check my license too as I think it was v4 when I got it last. Definitely happy to pay for a new one without any hesitation!

this was a big surprise! Justin, schwa, you both need to learn how to count version numbers
Thank you for your constant work!
I was going to request a change in the RPP format But now since we are already 6.0rc, I feel it is too late to change this.
It was to store the plugins encoded data outside the track chunk with a ID link or something in a different part of the RPP file. This would improve performance of reading track chunks from API, when not needed to read the plugins encoded data, which can be huge for some plugins making it very slow to read from scripts.

Can confirm that licenses bought today are now version 6 licenses, good through 7.xx. That's what my new license says anyway.

Maybe an additional parameter, "boolean omitFXdata" or something, so it is left out of the StateChunk in that case.

It's really coming along nicely, with some fantastic features. But I'm wondering if something is going to be done soon about the track scaling problem in the tcp when using the default 6.0 theme when using anything above 100% scaling.
This:
I did get a response
here from White Tie a while back about this which was:

Just curious how far we are from a fix for this.

I like Heda's idea. Especially for people who use a lot of instruments which can have massive data chunks saved.
