Jerry Seinfeld: All right, we're taking a car service. So we'll swing by and pick you up. How about six? (Laura looks offended). Six is good. (Laura looks offended and angry). You got a problem with six? (Laura opens the door and gets out). What? What?

As it happens, I just saw this episode. "Laura" is Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin, who is deaf, and the joke is that she is a lipreader who misinterprets "six."

Congrats on the release gentlemen!

One thing is that the new theme doesn't appear to have a separator for the mixer:

Will the release be at the same time as the new SWS release?
Otherwise it will be incorrect

Will Reaper 6.0 be £500+ so it can be classed as "Pro" ???

i'll get mi coat!

Well done on what you have all made Reaper in to! i came over at 3.5'ish with a handfull of "gripes" (most solved by SWS and external plugins and of course help and support from the comunity!

Now i am gripeless (but still awaiting the return of native Groove support "EDIT GROOVE GRID" that was accadently teased in the 5.0 Betas)

thank you EVERYONE!! & speacial thanks obviousley to J&S!

a very happy Reaper user!

Congrats Justin and Cockos Team!!!
Is it new? No, to us who follow the weekly, sometimes daily, work of this fantastic team of developers, he's an old, magnificent and powerful acquaintance and ally.
Long live for the Cockos team and our Reaper 6 !!!

Half of the innovations are exactly what I was waiting for It pleases. But I would like to further increase the UI speed
Tracks work quickly, but items with markers (especially when there are a lot of wave forms in takes) start to throttle ...

I'm interested too in this question since I rely so much on SWS for many custom actions.

I still can't read the note names on unselected notes in the piano roll. White letters on light pastel bars doesn't work!
I thought this was slated to be fixed.

At which resolution are you working? Here it look like smooth.

And talking about another point, it seems the portable version cannot read some VST folders (here, I'm having issues with main drive C, and no problems with D:\). I cannot confirm if an installed version has or not the same result.

Anyway, thanks to all the Reaper team for everything, great release and work!

By the way, I have such a thought about Velocity
It is not necessary to hide the mouse cursor, but simply change it to another when approaching the top - but make it barely noticeable so as not to interfere with viewing Velocity

Unless it got added and no one told me, the Midi Editor / Media Explorer don't support HiDPI yet.

Yes there are still a few areas in the gui that could do with a bit more tweaking but for the most part v6 is a great update & worthy of the a major update status,

I just checked my license & I can't believe It's been over 8 years since I got the v4 license. I'll definitely be upgrading to v6 asap.

To clarify, the MIDI Editor / Media Explorer *transport* buttons. The MIDI editor piano roll/score, and media explorer peaks view both support HiDPI.

The routing button in the Media explorer looks quite out of place nonetheless imo (maybe nitpicky though..)

Just curious - has anything changed between the last RC release (6.0rc11) and this one?

I see that v6 is still listed as experimental for Linux. I was hoping v6 would finally signify an official Linux release.

Any idea when this might happen?

I installed Reaper 6.0 and expected to be prompted to renew the license. I wasn't.

Turns out I bought Reaper 5 in 2015, not Reaper 4 as I had thought.

This is ridiculous value. I'm buying a new license anyway.

Congratulations guys - great release!

Turns out I too - unexpectedly - had a still valid license from 2015. That is indeed insane value.
