holly!! would great!
if make it easier, in my case no need to show velocity values
just on/of would more than enough..
i searched & looked for this almost every js in forum and in my js folder while i was building my big drum set+Take Switchers template ..
couldn't find anything then decided to use insertpizhere Keyboard.
even if at the end turns out wasn't possible,
Thank you in advance!
MIDI Note to Host Parameter - 1 octave added to jsfx folder
EDIT:Updated - Made it look a bit nicer
one more Q.
sorry, i just couldn't resist and didn't want to miss this opportunity
how hard to make it sliders flash always?
i mean no matter velocity value 1 or 127, always jump/show to full value?
so i can see full flash in the Stripper even with the Button type.

walaaaa! works great!
Thank you so much!
i owe you a drink
EDIT:
me happy!
EDIT2:
i have a Q for Houston!
is it possible to make the Meter type excluded automatically Page and Subset Snapshots?
or already works like this .. i mean allows add to Subsets but never get captured?
EDIT3:
i can't express how comfortable i feel now..Thanks again TJA!
nice!! So could you for example create your dream dynamic EQ using ReaEQ and ReaComp with advanced combos into LBX Stripper??
sorry just realized i miss the reply..
sounds like parameter linking to me but,
unfortunately this kind of combination way over my knowledge ..
i have no idea is it technically possible or not.
They are cute buttons. Are they 2 controls on top of each other?
We stand on shoulders of the giants: Isaac Newton, Alan Turing, Justin Frankel and Leon Bradley. - Phil Collins
yes, i only made a new button for your note monitor (full transparent in the middle)
green one in the middle is one of the old fabric buttons i just shrink the size to fit to space.
was a nice aphorism
EDIT:
correcting myself..
green one in the middle was also original size

Download 'MIDI Note to Host Parameter' from the jsfx folder
Note Monitor
That is really cool - thanks.
Sorry I've been away from the forum for a while - had loads of stuff on - not least involved in an amazing performance of 2000 kids playing at the Royal Albert Hall yesterday (it was a looong 19 hour day - but so worth it!).
I got a close up look at the amazing sound desk they were using for the event - a DigiCo SD5 - stuff of dreams!! The lovely sound lady who I had a nice chat with offered me to take over during rehearsals - but fear of pushing the wrong fader/button kept me from destroying their incredibly expensive sound setup!!
So my main duties for the day were unpacking and packing up 2x7 tonne lorries and a 3.5 tonne lorry packed full of orchestral gear. My body is really starting to feel its age quite a lot today!

Prob. no reason I can think of why not... Will look into.
Q. Why add to subset if never get captured? (Randomise purposes?)

i thought would helpful for example
while creating subsets something like overlapped meter+control as above
because selecting becomes a little harder.
actually not so important though

Anyway - will get back to coding this week
i thought "tonne lorry" is a microphone or studio equipment in general first,
then googled it! pffft!!
that was a lot of pack / unpack .. i even start to feel the "day after" pain in the muscles
but checked the images of DigiCo SD5 monster and seems
sounds like also you had a great adventure there

welcome back
-motto-
haha - yeah - the loading at the end of the day did me in!
Here's the console in situ: (I have a very cheap phone with a very poor camera! - hence it's blurry)
recently i realized two things:
1-i have Bidule and i can combine the crowded FX chain in one instance of Bidule!
2-how powerful the Cycle Buttons are!! (planning to record a vid.)

yes, (Bidule part is another story .. obviously)
you can create even much complex ones..
only -must have- thing is plugin parameters must Automatable so you can able to import them into Stripper .. rest is brainstorm & GFX (fun) stuff
EDIT:
i am not 100 % familiar with the Reaktor (sounds a bit expert/coding stuff to me)
but just in case
all you see in the picture above they are just plugin parameters ( 90 % Bidule(s) parameters) ..
so..
as i tried to say before you can create anything
via
importing plugin parameters in to stripper
& making layouts (fun part )
& tweaking them
& taking snapshots and recalling them easily by one click..
i hope make sense.

Guys, i start to get it but it seems to be like Reaktor6 and maybe even more advanced??
I definitely wouldn't say it's as advanced as Reaktor - however there are similarities if you add in the fact Reaper and plugins are doing ALL the behind the scenes work.
All Stripper does is brings parameters from any automatable plugins into a single interface - and gives you more or less complete control over the look and layout of what you want to build.
So I guess - it is similar to Reaktor - in that you use Reaper as the modular system that routes audio/midi around whatever setup you require - and then Stripper lets you build the interface on top of that (including using the snapshot system to capture settings/presets etc).
As you can use JSFX plugins to expand your capabilities also - that's like building your own modules in Reaktor.
So Stripper is nothing without all the plugins (modules), and routing underneath it - all handled by Reaper.
Of course - you can use Stripper as a simple channel strip creator for mixing and mastering if that's all you require - but as Timbralzoom and others have shown - it can do much more than that. The learning curve is basically learning your plugins and best routing techniques within Reaper, and of course the *simple building of the interfaces in Stripper.
*(except for lack of decent documentation!! I know I know) - but once you get your head around what Stripper does - that part I would say is pretty simple.
Nice thanks for the two previous replies!
Thats an incredible job to code and its cool!! I will try this out in a free time. Thanks so much for the opportunity that you share.
This is amazing work, hope it strives on, maybe integral part of reaper?
Ps:
midi / actions for changing pages, and other stuff, IN stripper.
Thank you. Of course it will continue to be developed - just having to redecorate a kitchen before a new floor gets put down next week - so struggling to find much time to work on it this week.
Give me a list of things you would like to be able to control via MIDI/Actions and I'll look into.
it works wonderfully even with program change so we can see exact program names
let's say: if plugin & ReaControlMIDI hosted inside the Bidule
and you want to access to the program changes
inside Bidule but also want to see program names in the Stripper instead
of reported "0, 00023, .. etc." meaningless value numbers
just create Cycle Buttons for the REABANK files and replace with the corresponding Bidule parameters that you assign to "Programs" in the Bidule

Thank you for making this possible!
I think that might have been entirely accidental
Would like to see what you mean by Program Changes.
actually nothing special,
its exact same procedure, just create Cycle Button(s) then replace with the target ones..
here ..careful its hot!
Ah ok - neat! Thank you. Wish there was a automatic way still to put in the actual Presets from the plugin - I'm guessing you still did some manual entering at some point into the ReaControlMIDI plugins? Or did you pull the names out of a preset file somewhere? (I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be possible with some plugins that use their own preset system).
EDIT: Liking the dark vibe to the music too! Reminds me a little of Massive Attack - Mezzanine...

not the ReaControlMIDI but yes REABANK files needs manual editing
if you want to see actual preset names..
but
creating REABANK files "sometimes" very easy if there is accessible preset folder..
just a few clicks with rename software(s) does the job done
for example copy all 128 preset names at once / one click and paste to REABANK file
and edit the rest via Notepad++ etc.. really easy to me..
as you pointed it out if the presets accessible only via plugin's preset manager
you need to use some weirdo workarounds..
for example take a screen capture of the preset list and convert it to Txt file via using free picture to text sites.. it works most of the time..
Thank you i like that Mezzanine-ish too ..
i was testing my new plugins before creating stack strips for them
then popped up out of the blue

Totally. That would be a really nice stripper feature. It kind of works with the OSC csurf plugin (can display the current preset, not a list), so hopefully the same will be made available to scripts at some point
