Default Track Fader writes automation to both Pre-FX and normal Volume envelope at once

If I have the both the Pre-Fx and regular volume envelopes armed on a track, adjusting the track fader will write automation to both envelopes at the same time (same thing happens with pre-fx pan and width). This makes it really difficult to use both envelopes together while mixing.

disarm one of them!

(though I'm noticing some bugs when recording via the envelope panel, where the other one is affected. should fix that)

Yeah, I know. I usually do keep the pre-fx envelopes disarmed or unactivated because of this, but it would make things a lot easier if I didn't have to.

Yeah, meant to mention that as well. If I record using the envelope panel on the volume envelope it affects the touch state of the pre-fx envelope and vice versa.

I suppose a preference for "behavior when env and pre-fx env are both armed" [write both|write env|write pre-fx env] would be pleasant...
