Are there any other amp simulators I could try?

Other than ML Sound Labs (which I already own a few amps from them), and Amplitube (which I'm getting an error message trying to install the Product Manager), what other amp modelers are out there.

I'm really looking for amps that work good for heavy metal (like Marshalls, Peaveys, Mesa's etc.).

I use the free amp from Blue Cat Audio together with an IR (must)
Also the free amp : Emissary Ignite (a metal monster)

Softube has their Amp Room platform, including licensed Marshall products, even a JCM800. Unfortunately the sample sounds on the page don't say exactly what amp, cab, and pedals are being used in the demos.

I didn't see any kind of free trial download for Softube. I'm not going to spend $149.00 on a Marshall Suite without hearing what it sounds like.

The Softube stuff is very good. Just trying a Kerry King Marshall Head. Was wondering if you guys know what kind of head he uses?

For me it‘s Nolly from Neural DSP.
I mostly use real amps but the Neural stuff sounds great, worth a try.

If I had to choose a single virtual amp for Rock/Metal, it would be the UAD Marshall Plexi. It's stunning. Brainworx also have some excellent Orange Amp Models (not official, but they sound fantastic).

With much more processing, almost any modern VST can work with the right settings. I used a Line 6 Hd500 to record guitar parts for this song (a desperate times, desperate measures situation and it did need processing like a generous low pass filter). But I think it worked surprisingly well
