Hi Tim.
I just posted in the bugs forum about Snapshot-related crashes.
Just a FYI... I didn't want to bog down this thread.
Thanks!

Hi fellas, let me ask: Is there a chance for Reaper to copy audio directly to the windows clipboard and to import from it? Its really a must for vocalign users, and I feel the SWS/Xenakios extension can get to it.
Best

sorry if this is too OT, but i was wondering...
are there any combination of actions that remove all the fades on overlapping items then takes away the overlap at the center of the overlap?
EG:
before:
111FFFF222
after:
1111122222
==============
1=item 1
2= item 2
F= crossfade
==============

It can export, however, I have not been able to import from clipboard. I have to go through Sound Forge first. Breaks the workflow. Am I missing something?

not sure, I haven't tried it myself, I would start a thread in the Q and A section as it will be seen more by people there. (although I think you already have right?)

track count sanity check failed when dismantling folder!
I get an error when I run the 'Xenakios/SWS: Dismantle selected folder' action.
Not sure what it means.
When I click OK, the folder appears dismantled, as expected.
Does the error message actually mean anything, or is it just there bec, if you're dismantling folders you're probably overrun with tracks and so the sanity check automatically fails?

*Insert LABEL* for S&M - FXchains could be wonderful.
LABEL - nameable slot with colored background (definable color)
maybe LABELs could work as folders, collapsible. to save space and keep it even more clean.
PS it could looks great if all slots background could be colored,
use example: all filters GREEN, all dynamics RED, all reverbs BLUE...

A question/FR for Auto-Color:
- Is it possible to have gradients be overlaid on an existing color? For instance, I'd like each folder to have its own color and shade each child track differently. If this isn't possible, would you consider it for a future update?
- Alternatively, perhaps each custom color could have a custom gradient assignable alongside it?
Cheers.

Marker list to clipboard, then crash
An odd sequence of events:
- I right-clicked the marker list and copied the list to the clipboard.
- When I pasted the clipboard, in addition to the expected markers, it included extraneous track data.
- Somewhere between the copy and the paste, I had a crash in ntdll.dll.
Here is what was copied to the clipboard:

When I reloaded Reaper and tried the same thing... no prob.
(I don't mean to hijack this Updates thread... but since this thread gets lots of SWS users, its seemed like the place to put it.)

Hi Marah...no offence is meant here but it is best not to post to threads that are not about your issue. People will help you quickly when you clearly and properly place your question.
It also means that someone who open pages to follow the latest discussion on that subject are not inconvenienced by having misplaced information clutter or derail there subject.
I HAVE made the error myself so I am not preaching.
good luck with your problem.

question about colors on a mac osx reaper with sws ...
on my pc I get to see the 16 colors and to set them up with the sws management...
just tried that on a mac laptop and I don't see the colors and the management tool never shows up when clicked... Am I doing something wrong on the mac??? I make it work fine on the pc.
On the mac, the only thing I can do is use 'set custom color'...

Bug noted. FYI, the proper place for SWS FRs/bugs is at my code site, linked in my signature below.

I think I've discovered a new SWS bug. See here 1st:
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.p...d=1#post601863
Attached are 2 project files, 1 correct, 1 with the error I've described in the above thread. I've NOT been able to replicate with any other project structures, but I have another project that uses a Reaper project template based off the attached "good one", and it behaves the same (has the same error once you load/modify snapshots).
Edit: it won't let me upload the projects files here, because of a 256 KB limit? WTF? How do I get the project files to you guys?
Edit 2: it seems that unchecking "sends" in the SWS Snapshot dialog fixes the problem, but we obviously need sends in the snapshots, so it looks like the bug is in the "sends" section of the "snapshot code", if that helps.

There are no color thumbnails in the menus in OSX, that's a known limitation (it's in the manual.) The color management dialog appears and works fine here.

v1.8.2 is up with a fun new feature:
Run the action "SWS: Zoom tool (marquee)" to start, then click and drag in the arrange to zoom.
Sorry, OSX guys, it's available for Windows only.

Holy bat-Zoom, SWS!!!
Awesome! Thanks!
EDIT: Hey Tim, why can't I add that action to a button and run it from there (toolbar)? If I do it it just does nothing, am I doing something wrong?

Nice one, I like that.
What's the problem with OSX? "Not done yet" or "Can't be done"?

This is very nice
Having problem with the black area of the marque only showing when I stop moving the magnifying glass but apart from that it works well

Omarkum, Sounds stupid but is REAPER currently running when trying update the SWS extensions by any chance? Mine was when I updated a minute ago and it wouldn't work for me til I closed REAPER.
Killer zoom tool, guys!

how can I choose which folder?
|
I think it will only look in the folder that that sound came from. So you might have to go into media explorer and choose one file from the folder you want it to use, select the items you want to randomise then right click the file in the media explorer and choose to replace items with that file.

Pure awesomeness! Ingenious! Great work. I'll free up one of my precious extra mouse buttons for that.
Too bad it can't work in the MIDI Piano Roll. Still, I'm simply floored. Here's hoping Cockos plans on implementing such a feature 1st party nevertheless.

+1, I would love tools that would allow us to draw a paracolic or hyperbolic curve in CC lane. A sine wave would be cool too.

Fixed with build #2.

At the moment, "can't be done."

Yeah, known issue, I might be able to make this better in the future.

v cool Tim, could there be a way of 'undoing' the zoom (ala your toggle zooms) in an easy manner? or is it a case of using another key/button to return to original view?
thanks

that's what I'm wondering too. Is there some way to undo or restore the prev zoom state.
There's currently an action -- SWS: Save current arr view -- that might make that possible... but I'm not sure how.
Thanks, Tim!

SWS: Undo zoom works, but you need another key, as mentioned.
edit: Undo/redo zoom are new as of a few days. Full discussion about it is on my site here.

Fine work. I did need to look twice when I saw those background markings. Good thing I wasn't handling anything dangerous like morning coffee.
I rate this as a precursor to area selection, only that v3 users can sort of enjoy this type of zooming now.
Mmh. Nice one.

Why isn't OS X supported?
