Default I love Reaper

Spent most of my day working on my latest hit an just wanted to say what a great experience it was.
So "Big Thanks" to everyone who has helped make Reaper what it is.
Special thanks to The always helpful forum users and Kenny G. for the videos.

Every time I use Reaper I find it does something I was unaware of.

(Alt Translation You would think after all these years I'd be better at this!

Thanks
MRT

I love Reaper as well.
Having worked with the most of the DAWs for about 20 years, I ended up sticking with Reaper the last 2 years. And there is no reason to look back.

+1

Came from Samplitude via Logic and Studio One.
Reaper makes them look like toys for what I do.

Thx to the devs and this helpful community!

Agreed on all counts. My only complaint about REAPER is that it makes me annoy my friends by telling them how much I love it all the time.

Tried Reaper first as a new remote recording app when Digital Performer crashed and burned 10 years ago. It not only took over for that but immediately presented itself as something that could actually run live sound at the same time. And then a year later it was right there for studio work when Protools crashed and burned and turned out to be a huge upgrade. Great for a digital guitar rig too. The Swiss army knife for audio. Does everything. And does it the best!

Haha, so true. Whenever I see instagram or facebook posts about DAWs, I always throw the Reaper hat in there.

yep I love Reaper too

As a noob to puter recording, Reaper would've been too difficult to learn from scratch, but because of Kenny's vids, Nicholas' manual, and this forum full of friendly users, I have been able to get down to recording my band far far sooner than if I had to learn Reaper on my own.

So thank you all for making this forum SO useful

This seems like a fine place to state my lurv of Reaper for the record (ha).

Tried a bunch of demo versions of DAWs, inc. Reaper. This one is the nicest to use, with the most logical and appealing layout, excellent workflow - oh, and she runs *fast*. Regular worthwhile updates too, it seems.

So yeah, wasn’t judging by price. Just so happens Reaper’s one of the most reasonable there. Well and good. 👍

While I obviously have my own "Unpaid Reaper Street Team" story, this one came from someone elsewhere. I thought that it was a pretty good take on the whole thing.

- One of youse recommended I try Reaper back when I was having issues with Sonar LE, and I owe a debt of gratitude. It's cheap, portable, and the license allows me to use it on as many of my machines as I want, which is great now that I'm in the process of migrating a bunch of old projects over to Reaper for remixing and some retracking, since the instruments and the computer that I use for tracking and mixing are downstairs, but all my old projects are on my bedroom computer. I can do the tedious setup work on this computer, then drop the projects onto a flash drive for transfer, so I can do the real work downstairs.

Routing and sidechaining - two things that used to be black magic to me - are intuitive and simple. I really can't say enough good things about this DAW.

I'll add another thumbs up here!

I first gave REAPER a decent go a little over a decade ago when I was working as a live recording engineer for some pretty high profile acts. I needed something that was reliable and efficient. I only had one shot at most of those gigs.
Prior to running REAPER, I was using a rack mount hard disk recorder that I rented for each gig and then transferred to Protools in my studio later on for mixing.

To cut a long story short, REAPER proved to be rock solid and never let me down. When it came time for mixing, I figured I'd give REAPER a good shot instead of transferring everything to Protools. I was so impressed with the stability and workflow that I started using REAPER in the studio for everything and have been ever since.
