ADDIKTION Theme
Hi!
Here's my theme for the community.
Made from good other ones (like lf_origin, tedWarigo, rado) and some personal work, the aim was to design a theme that allows to see everything clearly, and get an good overall vision of the most complex projects.
Its dark colors make it also a good choice for nightwork
Please tell me if you like it Enjoy!
Addiktion.

Salut!
Addiktion.

Thanks
Making the meters wider causes the dB scales to be hard to read.
But if you use this theme lot I can do the edit for you

Hey ADD. I really like your theme. Only the MIDI section seems a little out of sync with the overall vibe, in my opinion. It's too dark and therefore not so easy to navigate.
(I take it you're more an audio than VSTi guy?).
Just thought I'd mention it because the rest of it is glorious.

Yes you're both right.
I'll work on it when I have time, and update the theme
Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it!
(In fact I'm more MIDI than audio, but I work a lot by night! I agree it's too dark! I realized it but reading it from another person works better!)

You could always include a free flashlight with each download.
It's a nice theme though.

Updated!
Theme updated!
Changes :
- midi editor colors
- toolbar buttons colors
- transport buttons colors
- the theme is now contained in one single file (Addiktion.ReaperThemeZip)
If it's still too dark, maybe you can try using this lol

You'd be surprised, I had two of those lamps here. Never did shine them on the moon though.

Am I missing something? I downloaded the file and it was a .zip archive that contained everything, not a .ReaperThemeZip file. I also tried renaming the downloaded .zip file to .ReaperThemeZip. I then dropped the file onto Reaper and it said "Error importing 1 item."
THis is with the latest version of Reaper (3.73) running OSX.
EDIT: Actually I can't seem to get any "Themes" to work, only "Classic Themes." Sorry I'm a new user and now I'm confused. I did unzip your theme and I placed the folder into the Color Themes directory yet it didn't show up as a theme. Then I selected "Load Theme" from options and the theme came up but the background was totally black.

Hi,
The file you download from the stash is "AddiktionTheme.zip"
It is a zip file that contains "Addiktion.ReaperThemeZip"
You have to decompress "AddiktionTheme.zip" to have "Addiktion.ReaperThemeZip"
Once you have "Addiktion.ReaperThemeZip", place it in the "REAPER/ColorThemes" folder to make it available in Reaper.
If you don't know where the "ColorTheme" folder is, run Reaper, and click "Options/Show Reaper resource path in explorer/finder".

I see the problem now, I'm on Mac OSX and when I double click on the zip file, the os extracts the .zip file and then automatically extracts the .ReaperThemeZip as well! So I end up with just a folder.
I re-zipped the folder and renamed it from .zip to .ReaperThemeZip and that didn't work - I was able to install it but everything was white.
I'll work on it some more - see if I can't extract the .zip file without extracting the .ReaperThemeZip file.
UPDATE: I got it working, I was able to use the command line "unzip" tool to only unzip the archive once... Geez. Thanks for responding!

Dude, I think this one's one of the best themes!
The only thing "wrong" about it that I see is that a NEW track and a track
that Recieves AND Sends look almost the same (IO button looks almost the same, just the one with actual RECIEVES and SENDS has this button with a little more light.)
So, I suggest, remembering what you said, that you want this to be easy to the eyes, I mean "allows to see everything clearly, and get an good overall vision of the most complex projects." then that change is a must, coz that one could easily confuse you: "Does this track have Sends And Recieves OR is it a normal track (which only sends to the MASTER track???".
Other than that, this is genious!

Cool ! I'm happy you got it working.
If this is really an issue for many Mac users, I can propose the skin packed the old "way" too (one file with a folder).
Having just one file is easier to use and faster when copying (for example copying Reaper to USB drive). That's why I choosed that "new" way of packing.

Yes you are right. In fact I had a previous display which was too much "visible", and I made it less obvious.
Now it can be confusing, that is true. I will update it as soon as I can! (I'm quite busy these days but will do my best )
