Default Secondary MIDI part opacity bug? (SOLVED)

There seems to be a bug in the secondary MIDI part in regards to setting the opacity of the notes and CC. Regardless of the setting in preferences (1-3), the opacity remains unchanged.

It also does not seem to mater which color map I set my midi editor to. I have my editor set to view velocity by color.

As you can see in the attached image it is very difficult to see which notes are active and which are not. The notes that are some what darker are the inactive parts.

Am I missing a preference setting or is my color maps messed up? Or is this a bug?

Can anyone confirm that this is also happening in their sessions?

I am on the most recent pre-release of 5.33. I can also replicate the issue in public release versions on two separate machines.

Thanks EvilDragon.

Just for my own sanity, when you change the opacity preferences between 1 or 3, there's a big difference in your midi editor?

There seems to be no chance on mine.

Hm, actually there isn't a difference in opacity between 1-3 (so probably a bug), but the opacity difference that there is is enough to discern a secondary item over here, at least in Channel note color mode...

Thank you so much for double checking. Do you mind sending over your current Midi editor color map? It's possible that the ones I've tried are not easy enough to see the difference. I'll also double check the default map to make sure I'm not going crazy.

I'll report the opacity preference part of this issue as a separate bug.

Could you perhaps upload a larger screenshot? (You can upload large files to stash.reaper.fm.)

If I am not mistaken, a "secondary" media item is one that is visible but not editable. So notes in editable items will not be affected by the opacity setting.

The notes in editable items are not less opaque, but simply monotone. If you use a color map with nice 3D gradients, it is easier to distinguish between notes in active and editable items.

(The users in the Themes subforum will probably be able to help you optimize all this color and opacity stuff.)

Solved in the pre-release+Dev versions.
