Default Cannot configure Midi controller (Akai Advance)

I picked up an Akai Advance to use as a Midi controller / Synth and I can't configure it with Reaper.

I have installed all the drivers for the Akai, and it even shows up in the Midi Decices in Preferences. However when I set up a track, nothing happens. No sound, nothing on the channels meter.....

What am o doing wrong?

Did you set it as the input for the track, turn on record monitoring, and record enable the track?

Yes the record enabled and monitoring have been turned on. As for the track input, the Akai didn't come up in the input options.

Make sure you are using the correct input box, since there are two different ones in the TCP (one for recording and one for input options).
So either drag the Track Panel bigger (in case not all elements are shown) or select the MIDI Input via right-click on the Track Record Button ...

And just in case I'm assuming you have a virtual instrument loaded on the Track, right?

Also, please post screenshots of your MIDI Devices in Reaper's Preferences.

As in: How to describe your hardware set-up (in Post #3)
