I'm considering to buy a Novation Nocturn as a control unit for Reaper. As far as I understand, reading several threads on this wonderful forum, you can control all your plugins with automap, but there is no native mixer control as of yet.
I wonder: is it possible to control the mixer with the midi-control functionality and, when needed, switch to automap instantly when you want to control a certain automapped plugin? Or is it just automap or just midi?
BTW: I just bought the unit yesterday and it works fine with Reaper
I managed to map (part of) the MCU to Noctorn via midi-cc (in the shortcuts menu)and it works pretty neat. I assigned it as a mixer in Automap and I had no problem at all so far. But I have to say that I haven't used it for a real project yet.
