Default BSOD No more IRP stack locations

Since finally giving up trying to get my CME UF6 keyboard to behave via USB, I have gone back to plugging it into my Behringer BCF 2000.I selected Preferences/Control surfaces/add/Behringer BCF (using preset 1)and it all works fine except the (4x) transport buttons, well...they do work but not for long... after a few button presses i keep getting the BSOD with the message:-

No_more_IRP_stack_locations

Can anybody tell me what this means or better still how to fix it?

Also, that setting is fine for playback but I would like to copy the (using preset 1) into another preset and alter the 4x transport buttons like:- 1button start/stop record, 2button RTZ, 3button move cursor right, 4button move cursor left. Anybody got any ideas on how to do this PROPERLY in Reaper?

I can't help with this in detail but it might help if you google with "No_more_IRP_stack_locations".
In some cases there are advices to do some registry tweaking by increasing
an "IRPstackSize" value.
Maybe this will lead you into the right direction.
