Seriously, I don't know of any other product, where such game changing features are added in no time... mind blowing, thanks devs!

I completely overlooked that one, this is great! Timecode with periods instead of underscores, woohoooo!

This is what I needed.
Right now I've got it all set to defaults with aggressive video updates during arrange/scrolls.
540p fluent as it always was.
720p fluent as it hardly was.
1080p fluent as it never was. That's 33 MBit ProRes Proxy Quicktime.
Well, this will certainly bomb the bass for all the sound editors around here. I don't know what to say, except Thank You.
I'll run a test or two on higher bitrate Prores files.

At the moment Reapers development really spreads sparkles. So much love for the video geeks! And the community's sharing too. This feels really good and is kind of a progressive business culture.
The new video features and improvements will push this section a lot. And it seems that the amount of positive feedback shows how much appreciated this is.
Many thanks to the developers. Great work!

Easier theme adjusting, sweet.

Now even Justin's subtraction project (1920x1080) plays almost smoothly (before it didn't play about at all). It is really huge update! Thank you!!!

I am afraid this build is not working on Linux.
I tried the same 1080p video on 5.962 and it worked, but seeking was poor. A couple of seconds wait before it caught up when selecting a new part, and sometimes it never caught up and just seemed to get stuck.
On this build with the default settings there is just an empty black video screen, and when you select 'video processor multiprocessing' it just crashes.
Selecting 'aggressively update video' does nothing, still an empty black screen. I have not changed the other settings from default. Here is some data for debugging, if you want any more please just let me know:
Length: 1:25:00.608
Video: 1920x1080@23.98fps, Aspect=1.00, Decoding format=I420/YV12

Using ffmpeg/libav DLL decoder v58.18.100
Video: h264 (High), yuv420p(tv, bt709, progressive), 1920x1080
Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 640 kb/s

Having Hi-Res peaks enabled on video items severely slows down zooming when the items are visible. Happens at least with the following format:

Hmm odd, I'm testing on linux regularly with no issues. I'll see if I can try the same ffmpeg version.

I have been experimenting more, I think it is something else causing the problem. Sorry false alarm!
When I start a new project it works, but when I save the project and reload it then I get green screen for ages! Eventually it starts working, it is a 6 gig file, could this be it?
I am not seeing much improved seek performance when it works, still long periods of green. Sometimes it is almost instant, other times 3+ seconds, seems random over different points in the film. I have the aggressive update on and pre-fetch 4 threads.

While on the topic of render wildcards, I'd love to see a Date wildcard (11_29_18). Unless I'm missing something you have to use 3 wildcards (month day and year) to do this now.

Perfectly weird ordering of digits (significance: 43_21_65 ).
While the German form (29.11.18), does not make much sense, either, a more useful and internationally very commonly used form would be would be 20181129, as this can be used as a decent ordering criterion.

I actually like the way the devs have thought this out. What's the problem with composing your own date format? It's the most flexible thing. So you can choose any format you like (European, US, etc...). Furthermore, you can save presets.

Do you mean you can save render wildcard presets? If so, how?
