Default Reaper Flatpak can't see and follow symlinks

Hi everyone,

This is my first message here. I got a pc with Ubuntu 22.04 and 2 disks : a 250go SSD and 1To harddisk. So I have moved my main directories (Documents, Pictures...) on the harddisk with symlinks on the ssd.

This works fine with all my apps. But...

Flatpak Reaper don't see the symlinks (ie to open projects) when Reaper downloaded from the website see and follow them.

I'd prefer to use the flatpack which can auto-update. Is there a solution for it can see and follow symlinks ?

Thanks.

If auto-update is your main concern, you might want to reconsider Flatpak. Because auto-update might very well screw up our plugins and/or your projects.

The best way I've found is to wait around for updates and look around this forum and see how they fare. When it seems all good, then I manually update.

Reaper has very few benefits with Flatpak but some drawbacks, that can be serious.

Thanks jjcale.

I think you're right.

But the main problem remains : why the flatpak version doesn't see symlinks ?
