Sad times in Reaperville, anybody know why Jeffos left Cockos after such a short time, is he OK ?
The whole buzz at v5 release was kind of "Yeah its underwhelming but jeffos will do some crazy stuff" and it all just fizzled out.

This is a brilliant script! It leaves other DAWs' LFO generators in the dust.

I made the following mod that seems perfectly stable on my system:

Edit: The main discussion thread for the LFO script is at http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=153348&page=5.

Oh the Gpunk factor. Don't you just want to spank him day and night, but I'm not offering!

This is one cool script. Was looking for something this flexible just today. Thank you guys. Thank you very much.

Just a quick note to the users that downloaded the LFO generator from the link on this page: please take a look at the main discussion thread at http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=153348&page=4 - several improvements have been made.

gp - I think Victor`s gush lost something in translation. If I had to guess, by the phraseology he`s a germanic language speaker.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, but hopefully the original thought wasnt QUITE so GHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!...

Hey everyone, the neglect of things has been brought to my attention and I'll be taking some steps to make sure that the extension doesn't die! I was happy stepping away knowing that there was someone at the helm but it appears that isn't the case anymore. I am about to leave on an extended vacation, look for a release next month.

You are an amazing human being Tim!

Hope you have a great holiday and we should all give you and the other SWS guys a massive thank you donation. It's the least we can do for enriching our lives all these years!

Sigh of relief and gratitude.
Assuming I can find enough diesel to get back from France to the UK on the 18th June, I will indeed be donating.

Default SWS: implode items to take and pan symmetrically

Is it this normal? (In the attached licecap capture).

Something is wrong with the takes that later affect to the level. (For example if you are using this action to create a stereo file).

Any clue?.

Thanks In advance.

^^

Don't know if it helps but in this thread is a script to implode into takes which works quite well for me (post #11/#20).

Contextual menus are not working with a docked MIDI editor with focus.
I have to click outside of MIDI editor to transport or arrange or something else, then hover mouse back over MIDI editor to get any MIDI popup toolbars.

This is not the correct behavior. How can I fix this please?

It does not matter float or docked I can confirm. I must defocus MIDI editor regardless in order to have ANY contextual toolbars appear for MIDI editor. This is frustrating when working in heavy MIDI conditions. Had recent stable version of SWS, then tried most recent pre version, same issue.

Thank you!

I don't seem to be having that problem, tried it with key-commands and with mouse modifier (ctrl + double-click to bring up a MIDI automation toolbar) -- both work fine here. Hope it remains stable, it's a killer feature.

Speaking of which... not to beat a dead horse but, any word on someone new taking the SWS/S&M helm (that isn't in this thread, I saw the fellow's post stating he's aware of the problem and taking steps to fix it, that was in May)? Or should us non-C++-programmers prepare for an SWS-less future?

I gotta say, this is the big downer in Reaper world -- unfinished, abandoned projects, but you can't blame the guys at all, it's their time, and if their only incentive is the degree to which they find the project interesting, and no longer do, well....

Not sure if this the right place, but I've got a small but powerful feature request for Snapshots.

In addition to the parameters that can currently be saved in a Snapshot (Pan, Volume, FX Chain, etc.) it'd be amazing to add "Items" as well - splits, fades, Takes, item positioning, item looping, stretch markers, the whole shebang.

Basically this would enable functionality that closes the gap between Reaper's Take system, and Playlists in Pro Tools, which does some additional things that Takes does not (and which I posted about here: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=180974).

You'd be able to Snapshot a track in its original state, do a bunch of edits (for example - add some stretch markers, some light timing adjustments) and then Snapshot that as "edit 1", so that this edit state can always be recalled before you go on and do other complex editing that you might screw up.

This one feature would be so killer for Reaper IMO.

You're in luck! A scripter called Sexan did a script version of this which works really well and is very simple to install (no really simple)

Search for threads started by him as I can't easily search now as I'm on mobile

Also, "Heda"'s track inspector script also has something similar built in too.

Since the lack of SWS updates is a topic for discussion here, I figured it was worth pointing out that with some of the fixes included in recent pres, existing SWS actions are now starting to break

There is something about the way it copies that isn't aware of the pin connectors which is something that was tweaked by reaper in 5.25pre4.

My goal is to copy an entire item FX chain, and paste that chain to some other selected items, and have the pin connections be copied and assigned as well.

The SWS/S&M actions "Copy Item FX Chain" and "Paste FX Chain To Selected Items" isn't grabbing and pasting the pin connection which REAPER now allows.

Default REAPER-OSS

Just saw that SWS GitHub (with both extensions and sws website) isn't hold by Jeff0s anymore but by reaper-oss.

Thing is that "This organization has no public members. You must be a member to see who’s a part of this organization."

Question : Who are members of reaper-oss ? Who is maintaining this repo ?
Is it Cockos or is it community managed ?

(btw, I hope Jeff0s is fine, we didn't heard of him since he is out of Cockos...)

It sounds like Jeff0s is OK but has left SWS. I may have to hire somebody to remake this custom action with the new pin connection behavior in mind.
