* Steps how to reproduce

Seems to repeatedly happen after about 20 mins of working on a particular song. It's huge with lots of plugins (all of which are up to date).

I think it tends to happen when splitting an item. When it happens, Reaper freezes for a moment, then I'm dropped back to the desktop.
