Lyrics:

Takin me home
And when I get a sec,
I pick up the phone
And you're gonna tell me,
"Leave me alone"
And I love it, love it, love it, love it, love it, love it.

Yeeaah! (Blowin my brains out)

And I tumble down the stairs again
(Landing upright)
And I bid farewell to my mother
(Goodbye)
And I've fallen out of grace again
(Nice try)
And I tear apart my lover
(Don't cry)

This song fucking jams man...
Excellent work fella's!

Nice guys! This was worth the wait. I have been hoping to hear the heavy raw side come out.

I'll be giving this many more listens. More comments later...

After one listen, I gotta tell you that you're all monsters. Everything sounds great. Playing, performance, composition, vocals, lyrics, etc. Chris_P, you have definitely become one of the best mix engineers around here.

It's hard to believe that you guys have never met and jammed out in person.

what kind of fx are on the vocals? and where do you come up with lyrics like that, as far as i can tell they don't mean a whole lot but they sound awesome which is something i wish i could do, instead i have to write about something specific and it takes me months and months to write lyrics.

LOL. The changes at 4:08 and 4:12 are so fucking cool. I've just sat here and listened to this tune about 8 times. Awesome. I think this is my favourite so far.

When is the next one coming out?

I get a completed arrangement and drive around (sometimes for days) listening to it. Usually melody and cadence come to me first. The words seem to fall in afterwards. Listening to Mike Patton stuff helps.
As far as effects: on my side the vox got treated with comp/distortion.... And that's all I did. The rest was on Chris.

So Chris... inquiring minds want to know... Is it true that's your super-secret "Feel it when I mix" outfit??

When the err... "package" rattles the bass is 'just right'...??

Steve sends me the stems with his distortion / comp treatment, and I mix the rest.

For the verses, all I really did was buss out to a verb send, and add some limitting. And for the "YEAEAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" I sent that to a secondary verb, comp and phaser.

For the chorus, I sent those tracks to the main verb buss, copied that, and added some spacial effects, delays and chorus. And for the undertones (the parts where Steve sings "standing up riiiiight" that was sent out to a secondary verb, delay and phaser.

That's it I think - nothing major really - Steves stems are usually excellent quality, so I don't need to really do much except EQ and maybe some verb / chorus!

Glad you liked it man!

GOD DAMN!! This track is unbelievable! Everything is fucking murder! Those eerie melodic parts are indescribable. Has a nice doom metal element bands don't do very often. Seriously, you guys outdid yourselves yet again. This was well worth the wait. (5th time listening)

I reamped Shemps guitar tracks through the X30 sim, with Catharsis Studio's impulses.

Thank you very much dudes!

Minerman - Thanks for the compliment man! I programmed all of it - the actual drum pieces are from the Steven Slate library, and I used Superior 2.0 for the overheads.

Yeah, Chris wanted to re-amp my guitar on this song for some reason... lol... but the rhythm is an Ibanez SA with stock pickups, the first solo is Jackson Dinky with Duncan Distortion in it and the outro solo is a Gibson Les Paul with a Dimarzio Dual Sound.

and thanks again all for the comments!

they do not as windows vst's come in .dll format which is not compatible with mac. I think RTS or AU were cross compatible but i may be wrong there.
