Default Eq and One knob compression option on every track

Like how some mixers provide basic controls on every input. I know this can be accomplished by doing the in track controls thing, but yeah it would be cool if it was just already there just to keep basic levels and check and crafts the sound as you go in

Thumbs down from me!

Besides the fact that I don't use ReaEQ or ReaComp as a rule, I hate the idea of "one knob compression". What does the knob control? I'd guess threshold, but then the attack and release will be wrong for almost everything you put through it.

If you save your track with the fx and controls as a template, then it is already "just already there"!

I'd hate for Reaper to become another 'lowest common denominator' product. Thumbs down from this corner.

-1 !

A DAW should not modify the signal at all- This is what plugins have been inverted for.

Yeah, if you want that kind of DAW then Harrison Mixbus is always on sale.

Well, of course u could always dig on deeper. Open the hood if u wanted to tweak the settings.... Anyway, not for everyone, just an idea. For instance, I like how, in Adobe audition, if I need to make a slight eq adjustment, I can just look right there in the track instead of having to open a whole new plugin

You can do this with track controls, save it as a track template with your preferred plugin chain, and load the track template instead of creating an empty track...
