Default NAMM Show 2020 Reaper Booth??

I’m at the NAMM show right now, and I’m walking around wondering why is there no Reaper booth?? I feel like this would be an amazing place to show off this amazing software!!

Just a thought

Also, I feel like such a snob looking at all these computers with Pro Tools, Logic, etc., and thinking about all the features that they’re missing out on :’D

Does that ever happen to you? :’D

Best wishes as always,

-Mac

You'll probably find it next to the Linux booth. (or perhaps even inside it?) oh wait . . .

No, it's usually the other way around for me, and has been for the last 4 1/2years since I jumped ship.

I do keep an eye on REAPER (Old time sake), but I feel it's a bit like Linux (it is after all refereed to as the 'Linux of the DAW World') and always will be, always trying to get 'there', but never actually making it.

As to where 'there' is, well that's different for all, but for most it's commercial success, market dominance etc, which of course none of these things REAPER/Cockos is actively trying to achieve, they really don't seem to concerned as they have their own path, and that's fine.

But you never know, maybe like Linux, next year will be the 'Year of REAPER', God knows every year for the past gazillion years has been going to be the 'Year of Linux', but . . . maybe next year

It takes time and money to go to NAMM
Instead, that time and money is used to code next features in REAPER that Pro Tools will have to copy next year.

Seemingly you don't know that Android is based on Linux, and most of the internet infrastructure is basd on Linux. Hence supposedly it's the by far most wide spread OS Kernel of all.

True, and lol, but....

More users means more money right?

We can get a few ladies wearing reaper shirts, some stickers to give out.... maybe a big sign that says “BUT CAN YOUR DAW DO THIS?!?!” :’D

Best Wishes,

-Mac

Reaper is the kid that would not belong to any club that would have them as a member.

I don't know how the ladies would help increasing the sales. Is that a thing still in 2020? but I would like a REAPER tshirt... and some stickers.

Far back in ancient history, Reaper was at some trade show, which is for trade and some exposure. Reaper is not a boxed product, though looong ago Reaper would be passed out on USB sticks.

Do the T-shirts still exist ?

Anyway, I'm ok with Reaper not showing up at a trade show. Most folks watch Youtube videos and read their favorite sites & forums to find a DAW to try. They'll rarely check out a trade show for that.

Not that it isn't fun to see what's new at NAMM.

Resellers, Franchise holders normal thing apart from the people
who love seeing and hearing what is new.
Just like a Star Wars convention I would think.
