GetUserInputs has the great benefit, that it's screenreader and braille-reader-compatible. However, it only supports single-line-inputfields.
I would like to ask for the same thing, but with one multiline-inputfield, using OS-ui-elements for accessibility.
So it would be basically one multiline-input-field, an ok-button and a cancel-button.
It would be great, if we could set the dimensions, like
Code:
boolean retval, string value = reaper.GetUserInputs_Multiline(string title, string default_value, integer width, integer height)
I tried to code that using gfx+Osara for an accessible-gui-lib I'm working on, but after a lot of feedback from blind users, it's simply impossible to do that way.
So it would be of great help, if Reaper would add such a function as this is basically the only thing not doable otherwise.
It could help tons in making scripts more accessible.
Edit:
Just thinking: sometimes it would be helpful to have such a dialog not allowing input of text, but selecting+copy'n'pasting-text only.
So if that option could be added too, it would open up many great opportunities ux-wise.
