bug? ctrl+dragging an clip on a track moves the whole envelope
to reproduce:
create a track and put audio on it chop up that audio into a few clips create a volume envelope and alter it now control drag one of the audio clips to copy it to either side the whole volume envelope (track-wide) moves with the copied clip Last edited by reapercurious; 08-13-2022 at 06:05 AM. |

never use it. but i do have the standard connect-envelope-to-clip enabled. normally that feature will only move the part of the envelope that corresponds to the clip you're moving.
this could be a just-me problem so I am hoping folks will try the steps to reproduce this. I know it's not right. I can't think of a case in which copying one clip in a track full of clips should move the whole envelope side to side. plus, moving a clip doesn't do this, only control-dragging a clip seems to do this. |

made some more observations, i think that a control drag copy of a slice of track media with automation track envelopes will copy all the automation that is within the time selection. is there a setting to disable that behavior and only copy the envelope data that is directly under the clip you're copying?
