Default Here Comes The Night [More Punk]

It's been a long time between songs but in between, I built a small vocal room.
This is the first vocal track I've laid down in the room.
Hope you like...

Hey man, good job!

Over all it comes across ... even. That is a negative criticism (sorry, I don't want to offend), it just goes and goes. I kept thinking it'd be cool it the guitars stopped and there was a part where the bass and drums grooved together nice and tight ... where things build and ease off kind of thing. With a bit more chordal movements to keep things interesting. The drums are a bit dull too, some EQ and Compression to make them sparkle would add a lot.

I know how hard it is to make all of that happen all by yourself trying to write a song and play everything (I assume that's what you're doing) because this is one of the "mistakes" I make regularly, I call it - everything all the time. Figuring out what to have stop and where and for how long is a tough lesson I'm learning too.

The vocals are low in the mix so it's hard to tell if you benefit from the booth at all, I'm sure it does because that just makes logical sense that it would. But it's not obvious to me as a first time listener.

Good song though man, I enjoyed listening a lot.

Thanks for the feedback.
I understand what you're saying about it going all the way through at the same level but it was kind of intentional. I wanted the choruses to stand out a bit but I didn't want to let the foot off throughout the song. But fair call...

As for the vocals, I can definitely find a difference because I needed nowhere as much eq and compression as before. Of course that's because I know what a pain it was to get my vocals to fit before. I still added quite a bit of fx though....still turd polishing

Funny enough, Myhtbusters proved that you CAN polish a turd!

That sounds beefy, the kick drum flutters my earlobes. Did you do any side chaining tricks to make it work well with bass?

Definitely nice big sound to everything IMO, and your typical cool guitar interplay.

Good to hear...I often struggle to get the kick to thump the ears.
I did sidechain it to the bass and I think I eq'd it pretty well this time.
Thanks for the listen
