Connection seems lost.

I seem to have lost my connection between Keystation49 & Reaper.
No sound on playback...
No sound on armed track..
Everything was fine earlier today.
I attempted to connect a USB condenser mic.
I couldn't get it to work so I left it alone and went out.
When I came back I opened Reaper, the transport works from the monitor
but not the keyboard...nothing works from the keyboard.
I have reset the Keystation49 and Reaper...nothing.
Any thoughts?

If you get no sound on playback it's likely to be an audio problem rather than anything with your midi keyboard.

Probably you have switched the audio driver to the USB mic instead of your audio card.
Check the audio setup in prefs.

If nothing works on your keyboard and you're sure it's set up properly in reaper ... I'd check the USB jack on your keyboard. I had a similar problem with my Impulse and I traced it down to a loose fitting keyboard USB jack. Now every time I plug it in I insert a small piece of foil into the ground side of the jack (the thicker type foil used to seal ductwork) before I plug in the USB cable.

Hi guys,
Thank you for your response.
I got my sound back. My problem is transport.
I am able to do everything using Reaper controls,
But not on the keyboard transport system.
I have gone into actions to assign keys but it won't let me.
When I go to Play in actions, I click on it and the assignment box
opens, I press the Play Button and it does not register.
It's like something has it blocked.
I've viewed videos and I appear to be doing the right thing, but it
doesn't work.
I feel like I am missing something very basic that escapes me.

Check in Preferences/Audio/MIDI Devices to make sure you have the keyboard enabled for both input and control.
