Only if I have a project open already that has stripper in it. If I switch to another stripper project it asks me if I want to terminate or start a new run of stripper if that helps any

I clicked on an existing cycle button, dragged in new parameter, then:

When clicking on << (cycle button edit).

Code:
LBX Stripper.lua:9572: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value (field 'val')
Stripper version: 0.94.0076
Hmmm... I'm not getting this.

Have followed your instructions - created cycle control - selected it - dragged in new parameter - on selecting the new control and opening cycle edit - it just opens the cycle edit screen for the control...

What am I doing different?

Sorry looks like I missed a step. I can reproduce. You have to come out of edit mode and double click the new knob.

God damn this thing is crazy powerful! Trying to still come up with ways to trigger actions without running SWS Live Configs alongside or MIDI CC table, and trying to figure some ways to trick crossfades in, but so far, this is incredible, and I will definitely use it at the next show

Thanks. I'm working on staged snapshots - so different stages are triggered in order with delays available between stages. This should help with parameters which need to be called later than others etc.

Also - will include enabling/disabling morphing for individual parameters - so certain parameters can include fades between snapshots. This should help with your crossfading.

This will take at least a few days to implement though - and I've only just started on it.

Its looks like, for the most part, the REAPER provided wet dry control over specific plugins, could be used as all the crossfade I need to kill any clicks and pops. If I use an automation envelope to do it, it works very well.

But I can see how this would be an amazing benefit to any parameter

Hitting file/new in reaper if I have stripper running (the dropbox version) says retrieving data file please wait, and requires me to control alt delete to close reaper

Also a little box that says "missing data file would you like to manually locate it?"

I don't think you need to Ctrl+Alt+Del. I think the dialog box appears behind the new file splash screen - which you need to somehow bring to the front. (A common problem with Reaper and some dialog boxes I've found!)

Normally a small bit pokes out which you can click on.

Unfortunately - at the moment - there is not much I can do about this. Actually - thinking about it - I could probably remove the dialog box - but it may make some other feature not work so smoothly.

In the meantime - use New Tab, and close the old tab maybe.

my workaround for this is a custom action including "close/stop all running scripts" and then "create new project". Works great here and no worries about losing data or making reaper hang anymore.

I use this workaround also on "open project".

Is there something fundamental that makes Faderbox necessary to get some control elements to work or was it kind of a placeholder for functions that would eventually be absorbed into stripper itself?

The main reason was it was a solution to the problem that Reascript has no access to any MIDI input. So using a JSFX is one neat way to do this. There are other ways - but I think this is the neatest of them all.

If one day Reascript does get access via API calls to the midi streams - then of course I'll look into using them - but I'm not convinced it will happen.

Ahh, let me talk to Justin, hopefully its doable

I'm trying to make this all bonehead simple for people building up their own live guitar racks...There's nothing wrong with the Faderbox thing, it seems to be working perfectly, I'm just trying to cut down on the moving parts

certainly nothing wrong with that one - unless I missed something (you'll have to help me out here if so!) - good work!

Of course I'll look into the cluster issue...

Well - I think there may be technical reasons behind why it's not already possible - as the Reascript defer rate is far inferior to that required to read a midi stream in real time - you'd only see parts of the data - other data would be lost (or need to be buffered). On really busy midi - Reascript would simply be overwhelmed. Makes it less likely to happen IMO.

But if it were possible in some way - eg filtering some data - then that would be great. And if one day the reascript defer rate could be increased (even just to play with) - that is mine and other scripters dream. Would probably kill the CPU though

two Q about Modulators

--Shift MIN and MAX together?
--randomize the full slider range instead of limited range? (optionally)

Default Help with LBX

I'm trying to combine a bunch of Amp sims/FX units to make something like this(the bottom half). Is that possible? Can knobs, and graphics , flippable pages, selectable presets(plugins) be done with this? I was thinking of doing it with Melda style knobs and backgrounds.

Thanks

Hi,

Was there supposed to be an attachment/link?

But going by your text - knobs/graphics/flippable pages (switchers), and presets (snapshots) are all possible.

What do you mean by Melda style knobs/backgrounds? (I know Meldaproduction - I have a whole bunch of their plugins) - but what do you mean exactly? In Stripper - you can pretty much use whatever style knob you want (except for overlapping dual control knobs).

Underoath, lets collaborate! Looks like we are working on the same goal.

Here's some stuff I've set up so far: One way to do it (before I discovered LBX stripper)
http://pipelineaudio.net/2018/04/12/...board-project/

The philosophy (not done yet)
http://pipelineaudio.net/2018/05/08/...-to-the-stage/

An example use case for portability (though this case is iOS):
http://pipelineaudio.net/2018/01/30/...e-cable-setup/

A wireless, battery powered pedalboard to control it all:
http://pipelineaudio.net/2018/02/07/...nger-fcb-1010/

I'm thinking now to stick the pedalboard in a case and mount the tablet/computer to the inside top lid

That's just an ipad running Bias and Tonestack, it works well, but really, there needs to be a Windows laptop or tablet there running REAPER and stripper. I'll try and get a video up today with a laptop, but the laptop I have wont fit on that stand, but will be a good proof of concept show

If I can find a simpler way to send the wah off message on snapshot load, I'm done on the software side of this as far as I know! I got it working, but it would be nice to be simpler so that more people could use it with a bigger variety of plugins

Some sort of fade time for the sliders would be nice too for crossfade so they dont pop so hard on some of the fx, though maybe thats just a matter of picking different plugins
