Default Solved: Action: Split at item marker

I use a lot of subprojects for game assets, I generally mark each variation and then subproject the track.
This gives me an item with all the fx rendered and visible, and with item markers showing where the variations are.
I then have to split this manually.

I would like an action which can split the resulting item at the item markers.

Either "Item: Split items at project markers" or "Item: Split at media cues" should do what you're asking for, unless I misunderstood something.

I haven't tried split at media cues, but spit item at project markers will not work as the markers are in the item sub project

hmm... here when I subproject a track the project markers both remain in the main project and are copied to the subproject. I've just tested it and both proposed actions worked.

Yes but what if the markers don't exist in the main project?

ah, I based my suggestion on what you wrote in your original post - quote: "I generally mark each variation and then subproject the track" - which to me implies you mark them in the main project. If not then the "media cues" action is the way to go. I've just tested it and it works even when the markers are only in the subproject and even when they are added afterwords.

My mistake, I wrote it the wrong way round.

Cool, thanks I wasn't aware of that action. I'll give it a go, cheers

Yep, split at media cues does the trick!
